LorinthsRpgMobs
This is a simple 'plug and play' plugin that adds a difficulty to creatures, and a Level Indication based on their distance from Spawn. The current formula to get the mobs level is by default as follows....
(((Distance from closest spawnpoint) - CenterBuffer) / Distance) + 1 = Mob Level
-
This gives the result of creatures 0 - 49 blocks from spawn = Level 1. 50-99 = Level 2, etc
-
The distance value of, 50, can be modified by your own choice
What these levels change and add...
-
Increases Damage / Health a monster has (these levels play into configurable formulas that increase damage and health)
-
Adds armor to creatures at specific increments (configurable)
-
Gives different loot drops based on level
Level Regions
Level regions can be created (in conjunction with World Guard) to create zones of stronger/weaker mobs!
You simply create a level region with the worldguard id and give it a level!
From there you can customize mob names based on regions!
Mob Variants

- /lrm butcher [radius] - kills all entities loaded in world that aren't tamed
- /lrm region - access to all region commands
- /lrm reload - saves/reloads config files
- /lrm spawnpoint - access to all spawnpoint commands

Permissions
- lrm.admin - gives access to most the commands above
- lrm.butcher - gives access to the butcher command
- lrm.update - gives access to /lrm update - uses auto updater to allow for automatic updates!

@Varidias
Thats definitely all doable, the only problem is making it understandable and easy for the users in terms of config usage...
@p82183645
I will look into that as soon as I finish heroes support =)
Hello. Convenient support Insane Mobs generation level monster. http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/insanemobs/
@lorinthios
Can you really do all these thing? It would be amazing!
@Varidias
oh potion effects on mobs! I understand now! Yeah that would definitely be good to add as well
I think we don't understand each other about potions. I mean if was possible to have some potions effect on mob of some level, but I think special abilities are much better and potions actually useful are not so many so I don'tt think it's worth losing time on it :)
For everyone else,
I'm currently working on putting heroes support back into the plugin. The way it will work....
Most RPG Games have a claiming system (first person to hit), I think this is stupid. For my plugin I will be giving exp out to players based on their contribution, or their parties contribution to killing the creature.
Say Joe, Bill, and Mike are fighting a level 100 Zombie that rewards 100 xp. Joe and Bill are in a party, Mike is alone. Joe Deals 40% of the damage, Bill deals 10%, Mike Deals 50%.
The result is that (40 + 10)% = Joe and Bill, so Joe and Bill split 50% of the reward XP, each getting 25%. Mike earns 50% himself. So this system is fair to the individual player, as well as splitting xp evenly in parties
@Varidias
I'm definitely interested in extending this plugin further.
The % of mobs of higher level will be tricky but possible. I think it would mostly be confusing in the config for users. But I can make an advanced.yml for these things.
As for potions, I will definitely think about making a loot table. But there are plenty of plugins out there for this, granted I can try to make my own and make it work better, but check some loot plugins out first, and if you can't find it I'll try to sneak it in!
For the special abilities, I hard coded some of those things in my own custom plugin, so I don't see problems with bringing them to here. I can add possibilities like poison on hit, fire arrows, stun, cool things like that.
Lorinthios you are a fantastic developer. You were able to solve my problems in just over a day and for this I am grateful. I think you can make some additions to make the plugin more versatile:
 - The ability to disable the armor for zombies and skeletons and use server settings;
 - Have a certain % chance that mob of higher level are generated in weaker areas, to make the lower levels more exciting (something like within the first 50 blocks 80% level 1, level 2 10%, 5% level 5 , 3% level 10 and 2% level 20)
 - A certain% chance of having potions on mobs beyond a certain level;
 - Special abilities (?)
I know that are a lot of things, but more than requests are suggestions, if you want to further develop the plugin.
Awesome! Thanks a lot!
@Varidias
I'll also look into building an older version of java to see if that works
I'll definitely check into that plugin and see what I can do
@lorinthios
I'm on a dedicated server.
As p82183645 said, some kind of scaling for exp would be nice! :)
@lorinthios
More monsters higher the level of experience
Support Legend Quest
@Varidias
odd are you on a dedicated, or a home system?
@lorinthios
Just this string:
ERROR Could not load 'plugins/LorinthsRpgMobs1_8_3.jar' in folder 'plugins'
I'm using this plugins on the server: GroupManager, WorldEdit, SimpleHomes, WorldGuard, Dynmap, Citizens, Dynmap-Citizens, SimpleAlias, Vault, DwarfCraft, BetonQuest, Heroes, RacesAndClasses.
@0ct0ber
Oh change the distance formula? Most of the health, damage functions are strings that are interpreted through javascript, so you should be able to access some functions that way.
if you cant achieve desired results I'll try to make up my own string interpreter/parser so you can do more with it
@Varidias
My compiler is using Java 7, what error are you getting?
Can you make a Java 7 version of this? I really want to use this plugin! D:
@p82183645
Do you need a hook to give more exp based on mob slaying? What kind of support do you need?
I have uploaded a fresh build for 1.8.9.
I have run using
