LorinthsRpgMobs
This is a simple 'plug and play' plugin that adds a difficulty to creatures, and a Level Indication based on their distance from Spawn. The current formula to get the mobs level is by default as follows....
(((Distance from closest spawnpoint) - CenterBuffer) / Distance) + 1 = Mob Level
-
This gives the result of creatures 0 - 49 blocks from spawn = Level 1. 50-99 = Level 2, etc
-
The distance value of, 50, can be modified by your own choice
What these levels change and add...
-
Increases Damage / Health a monster has (these levels play into configurable formulas that increase damage and health)
-
Adds armor to creatures at specific increments (configurable)
-
Gives different loot drops based on level
Level Regions
Level regions can be created (in conjunction with World Guard) to create zones of stronger/weaker mobs!
You simply create a level region with the worldguard id and give it a level!
From there you can customize mob names based on regions!

@lorinthios
There are no errors in my console. I put the new jar in and restarted the server. but none of the mobs have the levels above their heads...
It may be that I forgot to change something in one of the files though to get it set up...
it may be my server too... Let me switch the world name and see if that helps.
@Latamier
Are there any errors in the console? What issues are you having exactly? The only thing I changed is fixing the event issue if you're not using heroes. nothing else should be broken
@lorinthios
yes I just dropped it in - I delete the old files (3) and upload the new jar, is that the way to upgrade yours ?
no red on the console - but it doesn't seem to work - I didn't change anything but I did reload it. so I am probably forgot to change a setting to make it work

Are you able to download it from there?
@lorinthios
Ok.. on my server now ready to grab it as soon as it is uploaded :)
@Latamier
Uploaded a fix in the files tab, version 2.3.4
@Latamier
Ah that is indeed an issue, let me get a fix uploaded asap (probably here in about 5-10 mins)
Your last fix got rid of the other error. - Thank you...
All I see now is this red message in my console: ERROR Plugin LorinthsRpgMobs v2.3.3 has failed to register events for class me.Lorinth.MobDifficulty.MobDifficulty because com/herocraftonline/heroes/api/events/ExperienceChangeEvent does not exist.
I don't use heroes and I have useheroes as false so I don't know why it is looking for it: version: 2.3.3 bonusMcExp: true spawnerAllowed: true Language: English SkillApiExp: false UseHeroes: false customMobsEnabled: false leveledNames: false
Hey everyone, we are getting close to the 10,000 downloads mark! I never thought this plugin would go this far, or even be used that much. So to all you guys, thanks for downloading! Hopefully i can keep up with some awesome features!
@Nutty101
Version 2.3.3! This version is more for other programmers wanting to use the API, normal server owners don't need to update for bug fixes or anything.
API Addition : new RpgMobDeathEvent!
This death event includes the entity, the level, exp worth, as well as death location. It also provides a method that will tell you if a player killed the entity or not. The player catching isn't a catch all, so it may throw false negatives. If a monster dies by lava as the final blow, or by fire tick, it will return null for player. So be careful and be sure to do thorough checking on top of this. This will simply return the player if the player(or arrow they shoot) deals the final blow.
I will never not recommend this plugin.
@Nutty101
Yeah I'll definitely add that, would be easy =)
OnDeath event with level status on the mob. Could be handy
Alright i havent gotten any error complaints in a couple days. So that means new features!
If you guys want to let me know via message or reply what you would like to see next!
- threat system - special attacks (poison, fire, wither) - boss core - pure rewrite/optimization
Thanks to Varidias doing some testing, V2.3.2 has been uploaded and is working/optimized a bit further.
As a notice, you need to set bonusMcExp in your config.yml to false for heroes to work properly. Afterwards you can tweak the experience functions to suit your needs!
@Varidias
Should be the new file that i uploaded in files tab at the top.
Edit, i did make a mistake the config will still say 2.3, but it is 2.3.1, i missed updating that print out in the config.yml
@lorinthios
It's still 2.3 or am I wrong?
Posted new 2.3.1 version, should work a bit better!
@Varidias
What are your options in the config.yml?
you would be correct that its not working, check out 2.3.1! =)
Nothing has changed for me. Enabling the new option for heroes does not change the experience in game :(
