LorinthsRpgMobs
This is a simple 'plug and play' plugin that adds a difficulty to creatures, and a Level Indication based on their distance from Spawn. The current formula to get the mobs level is by default as follows....
(((Distance from closest spawnpoint) - CenterBuffer) / Distance) + 1 = Mob Level
-
This gives the result of creatures 0 - 49 blocks from spawn = Level 1. 50-99 = Level 2, etc
-
The distance value of, 50, can be modified by your own choice
What these levels change and add...
-
Increases Damage / Health a monster has (these levels play into configurable formulas that increase damage and health)
-
Adds armor to creatures at specific increments (configurable)
-
Gives different loot drops based on level
Level Regions
Level regions can be created (in conjunction with World Guard) to create zones of stronger/weaker mobs!
You simply create a level region with the worldguard id and give it a level!
From there you can customize mob names based on regions!
Mob Variants

- /lrm spawnpoint - access to all spawnpoint commands

@Minefrench
There's a lot of code to double check with myPet and its not my primary focus at the moment. Still been having trouble cleaning up and cracking out the bugs for when I release 2.0 (which will be soon).
That said I do plan on adding this in eventually, but I have no idea how long it might take =(
Hi. On craftBukkit 1.7.9 R01, my console is flood by this:
08:38:47 CONSOLE: ERROR]: Could not pass event CreatureSpawnEvent to LorinthsRpgMobs v1.5.2 08:38:47 CONSOLE: java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.Integer cannot be cast to java.lang.Double 08:38:47 CONSOLE: Source) [?:?] 08:38:47 CONSOLE: Source) [?:1.8.0_05] 08:38:47 CONSOLE: Source) [?:1.8.0_05]
it doesn't seem to add health to passive mobs any idea why? or at least cows and chickens so ive tested. any idea why?
please add Mypet plugin Compatibility thx for support
How to get the nametags shown? I'm having problem with it showing. Can a permission be added for this? I'm using latest build with CB 1.7.2-R0.3. I also use latest build of mcmmo.
@RexReaver
Thats a good question, I haven't worked with MCPC+ but if I understand mcpc correctly, then it should work. is it only pigs you're having a problem with or all mobs?
I love how this mod looks on this page, but I'm having trouble getting it to show ingame. I'm running Heroes, Vault, and this, yet when I approach a pig ingame their level doesn't appear. Weird.
Could it have something to do with the fact that I'm using MCPC+?
@firesofhades
Yeah its needed, ill be sure to add better documentation once i get 2.0 cleaned and uploaded. Im working on some plugins for a server. I joined their dev group so thats been my primary focus. But this is still on the priority list =)
@FacelessHero
Not yet, but i can make that happen.
It would be like it is currently, i'll just add a value on the locations for a positive or negative change, so the further you get you -levels
Good suggestion!
Is it plausible to have it the opposite for a special server? Harder mobs the closer you get to a certain area?
a feature list and links to the config pages on the main page wouldn't be bad i think :)
@N1T3SLAY3R
Yep thats possible! Just read fires post =)
@UltrafaceGuy
Yeah ill add that! This next update is really big so its gonna be dubbed 2.0 =)
@N1T3SLAY3R
i havn't used that feature myself but, thats already possible right?
you'll find the formula's in the monsters.yml
i.e:
i think this should work, i remember a post of some1 who also used powers
by any chance could you make a custom formula for health such as x^1.2+x+5 x being level of mob so that the farther you go away the more hp increases per mob on a scaling rate
in other words: if lvl 1-2,2-3,3-4,4-5 hp went like this 5,10,15,20 hp it would now go something like this, 5,11,18,24,33 etc.
I have a quick feature request - In a coming version could you have an enable: true/false field for each mob type? Some monsters and bosses I have handled by other plugins, so it'd be super if I could disable this plugin, just for those few mobs!
@StanoMalek
just a wiled guess,
the nullpointerexception happens in worldguard after lrm passes valeus to 1 of its methods, it could be lrm expects a setting to be set while it isn't, or has an illegal value. if you upload your config and maybe the region.ymls from worldguard, lorinthios might be able to help you (and every1 else) better. also let him know the id of the region(s) that is/are loaded when the server starts up(i.e.: spawns).
have you tried to set the other region settings?
edit-
on second thought its likely a worldguard setting causing problems, as it seems to be looking for a boolean in worldgaurd config files
Hi, I have the latest version, here's what I found, rebooted, but still I'm spamming errors. (
-http://pastebin.com/cZWAqJQ9Hey guys there hasn't been an update for a while... but there is one coming! It's quite large as its doubled the amount of code inside the plugin. So look forward to lots of new options and features included with this plugin! I've mentioned them over time but heres a compilation of the features...
@firesofhades
As always giving great help firesofhades =) thanks!
