LorinthsRpgMobs
This is a simple 'plug and play' plugin that adds a difficulty to creatures, and a Level Indication based on their distance from Spawn. The current formula to get the mobs level is by default as follows....
(((Distance from closest spawnpoint) - CenterBuffer) / Distance) + 1 = Mob Level
-
This gives the result of creatures 0 - 49 blocks from spawn = Level 1. 50-99 = Level 2, etc
-
The distance value of, 50, can be modified by your own choice
What these levels change and add...
-
Increases Damage / Health a monster has (these levels play into configurable formulas that increase damage and health)
-
Adds armor to creatures at specific increments (configurable)
-
Gives different loot drops based on level
Level Regions
Level regions can be created (in conjunction with World Guard) to create zones of stronger/weaker mobs!
You simply create a level region with the worldguard id and give it a level!
From there you can customize mob names based on regions!

oki thx im whaiting for a new release for working in Mypet I love your plugin for my rp server its perfect :)
@Minefrench
no not yet, I'm working on it though! Just tons of complications between the two, but I'm working out a couple kinks each day =)
Thx for support sorry for my English
omg thx you work whit incompatibility with MyPet ?
When i get back ill release an early 2.0 beta version, theres still a lot to be ironed out in the version. But it adds some nice features that i know a lot of rpg servers will use.
According to the bug issues, fires is asking good questions that will help me find the errors and fix the problems. But he is correct, its probably some sort of conflict with another plugin since running by itself doesnt produce errors. I test it by itself when i run it.
So if you're having issues please provide the following...
If you provide all of this information then i can get to the bottom of the problem a lot quicker, and possibly provide a fix for you.
As ive said previously i am in china for the next couple of days still, but i can probably get working on this on the 19th. So firesofhades is doing great covering the bases for me (thank you publically) and as always ill do my best to do what i can when i am able
@firesofhades
I'm running crafbukkit 1.7.9 R02
guys, i'm still running this plugin without errors, mobs sometimes spawning without tags is known but isn't causing me errors. i have also tried spigot 1.7.9, and it still works.
it doesn't HAVE to be the config, it can be a bug, but seeing how this plugin does work for me, it CAN NOT be just this plugin + 1.7.9. there has to be something else, or i would have had the same problems.
are the errors caused by specifick mobs, specifick actions? is java up to date? if you make a new fresh server(CB not spigot or w/e) with just this plugin, does it still have the error? post anything you think might be related and we might figure out why it works for some and not others. which is usually the first step towards solving somthing like this.

i see mateix is running spigot, are you too?
@firesofhades
I'm using the default monsters.yml: http://pastebin.com/Wj4GDJAy
Not all mobs are spawning with lvl.
When the mob doesn't spawn with lvl, in the console shows an error.
Error similar this, about which he wrote earlier dadee971.
The reason for the error is not configuration (I removed the folder "LorinthsRpgMobs" that was created again, then ran the server. Error was still there.

@dadee971
i think it might be in the monsters.yml
I have a few suggestions:
- Ability to specify the drop of mobs (and chance) for a given range of levels
- Add support for "Item Lore Stats"
- Turn off auto-attacking by monsters (in the config)
- Add groups of monsters e.g. 3 monsters (if one player attacks a monster then the whole group of monsters to attack this player)
@firesofhades
My config: http://pastebin.com/nFviXB7E
i have ran this plugin on 1.7.9 without getting this error so it can't be just 1.7.9... could it be certain settings?
Hi, As there was no answer for my prob, i 'm back again on this:
http://pastebin.com/rXs3vTJc
Your plugin seems to be incompatible with bukkit 1.7.9.
Mobs are spawning with lvl, but the console is flood with that.
well, i've been able to succesfully run the plugin on cb 1.7.2 and 1.7.9. so its probably a setting. if you post the config files we might be able to work something out untill lorinthios comes back to properly fix it.
Error: http://pastebin.com/kQ8vuLu3
Yeah theres usually a change or two in config files each update. I suggest re-generating files when there's a new update, (while saving the old ones so you can fill in what you had). But a change or two that doesnt show up in the config could break the plugin a bit. So firesofhades is probably right about the files.
But otherwise its probably a buggy thing i need to repair and like he mentioned, ill get on that when i get back!
i've definatly run into the problem you describe. throwing all of my config out seems to solve it.
other then that can you do your testing with monster eggs? i've noticed monsters that where present when the server reloaded are not always correctly moddified (even if they do have the tag)
