TerrainControl is an advanced world generator. Through various configuration files it gives the user control over almost every aspect of Minecraft terrain generation, with no knowledge of Java required. It can be used on Bukkit or Forge servers and on singleplayer with Forge. TerrainControl is the successor to the old PhoenixTerrainMod, which was based on the popular BiomeTerrainMod.

Metrics
As of Terrain Control 2.4.13, the plugin sends some stats to mcstats.org, a service by Hidendra and others. You can view the stats here. Terrain Control won't upload your configs, it will only send your BiomeMode along with some information of your computer. You can toggle it off by setting opt-out
to true
in the metrics config file. More information is available on this wiki page.

How to use
TerrainControl is more complex than most Bukkit plugins, so it may take a while to get into - but the results are worth it. If you want to create your own world, be sure to check our documentation. If you have done some reading and still have problems using TerrainControl, just post to our forums and we'll try to figure it out.

can this work with a multimc launcher on single player? I am attempting to make a single biome based world but everyone says use mc edit, which doesn't work the way i need it to do. I tried Terrain control and apparently am unable to figure this out any further.
Hi,
a creative person emailed to me the idea to create the area of "Gooding City of Rocks":
After some more finetuning, it will be implemented at next Testworld No. 75.
Bye
Update: Testworld No. 75 is out since yesterday.
Hi all, I'm looking for someone who know how to use this plugin to make some custom terrain for my server. If you can help me out, please inbox me :)
I've made a post in the 'Showcase of world / biome creations' thread on the TC forums showcasing some of the biomes I've been making, and I thought I'd re-post it here for people that are passing by and want to see a little bit of what TC is capable of. However, I will only be re-posting the screenshots here. If you wish to hear me talk a little bit about each biome, then click the link down below.

Note that in was all done in 'Normal', Not 'FromImage'.

@TheNicklander
There's actually a big problem with staying on 1.7.9/1.7.10. You probably haven't realized this yet, but lot's of players aren't smart enough to edit their profile, or won't bother to in order to join your server. Especially if they are looking for a server. They could always just join the next server on the list that IS updated! That makes you lose players. I found out that the latest dev builds work with the latest spigot, so I'm actually all set anyways. I'm not going to sit here with my player's donation money flowing away on server payments, waiting for Sponge to release. My donors would hate me for that when I could just use Spigot and make sure every plugin I use works with the server software. Good day sir.
release it on spigot.
@littleboy8399
What's the problem ? Just stay on 1.7.9/1.7.10 ! You can update to 1.8 once Sponge's released.
Please continue to update this for spigot. Don't want to have to pregenerate all of my worlds in 1.7.10 to use them in 1.8.

@marylaza13
but ALL plugins will no longer be compatible...
@marylaza13
the ones BEFORE Wolverness's DCMA?
If yes, go update. With this order, Bukkit nor Spigot can update anymore (but in fact Spigot found an naughty way to do this xD)
@the_grox
If you saw Dinnerbone's status on twitter you will know that he will continue, he will make it, he started already.
@Redslam
This must be a joke. BUKKIT WONT BE UPDATED TO 1.8!!!
Maybe the forge version...
Can't wait until TC updates for 1.8! ^-^
@karatechopninja
Hmm, are you asking yourself? Look at the above BIG RED message.
Why can I not find anything to do with custom objects in my config?

My alpha version of Darkonia's hell created by me using TC :) Dude, your plugin is great, because can give each server some uniqueness.
Alpha, because I want to adjust few things and wait for 1.8 update to add andesite, diorite and granite (my server's map were generated using modified vanilla generator with border so there's no new stones).
Sorry for low FPS but my PC have 4+ years and all were rendered on the fly to twitch :)
All misplaced or simply dump posts of the last weeks, written by not reading people, have been again deleted.
(Just shaking my head about that jerks)
@ALL:
READ the RED text on top !!! ... and follow its content ... or being deleted as tons of blind not reading jerks before.
Amazing peice of work, once I figured it out!
