LorinthsRpgMobs
This is a simple 'plug and play' plugin that adds a difficulty to creatures, and a Level Indication based on their distance from Spawn. The current formula to get the mobs level is by default as follows....
(((Distance from closest spawnpoint) - CenterBuffer) / Distance) + 1 = Mob Level
-
This gives the result of creatures 0 - 49 blocks from spawn = Level 1. 50-99 = Level 2, etc
-
The distance value of, 50, can be modified by your own choice
What these levels change and add...
-
Increases Damage / Health a monster has (these levels play into configurable formulas that increase damage and health)
-
Adds armor to creatures at specific increments (configurable)
-
Gives different loot drops based on level
Level Regions
Level regions can be created (in conjunction with World Guard) to create zones of stronger/weaker mobs!
You simply create a level region with the worldguard id and give it a level!
From there you can customize mob names based on regions!

The main issue I'm having is they changed some nms code for pathfinding and its screwing with the spawners quite a bit and erroring out. So I may come out with a quick fix, but the mobs may wander and be lame vanilla mobs spawning from the spawners
@kazzuyak
Yeah, i need to fix the spawners yet. Its the next thing on my list and hopefully completed tonight!
@lorinthios Thanks for the fast reply!
@doitliketyler
Made a new 2.3.7.1 build that should fix the weird folder issue cross platform. Once its approved feel free to gnab it
@kazzuyak
The new 2.3.7 build has the two new commands, butcher and fullbutcher. Once its approved you may download and use it!
Additionally, I'm making a specific command for clearing my mobs from your server completely (including unloaded chunks).
the command will be /lrm fullbutcher <minX> <maxX> <minY> <maxY> <batchEnt> <chunk Delay>
The way this command works, is it will check every chunk between position <minX>, <minY> and <maxX>, <maxY>. The way you can throttle the performance on it is by changing the batchEnt and chunkDelay command. The <batchEnt> will find how many entities to check between ticks, if you want to do a quick check then aim for a higher number(100-200), if you want low server performance use a lower number like 10-20. Of course this can change based on the strength of your server. The <chunkDelay> command will delay the rate at which chunks are checked.
Again, this command is for fully cleaning out your chunks of the "leveled" mobs from your worlds.
@kazzuyak
I may make my own /lrm butcher command. Seems to be the easiest option honestly...
It will remove all active Living Entities(in the players world) with the '[Lvl.' prefix, if it is not leashed. I figure if it has been renamed, or leashed then it is controlled by a player, and is safe to keep.
Edit: The command, is completed. Simply working on the fullbutcher command now.
@kazzuyak
I'll do some checking on how to fix that, it has been a standing issue I've overlooked. So gimme a bit and I'll see what I can come up with
really nice plugin, but while using it the commands:
/butcher - From World Edit /mobkill - From Essentials Doesnt Detect Mobs With Custom Names. Is there anyway to solve that ?
@lorinthios
My server is not on my MacBook. I just connect to the machine via my MacBook.
@doitliketyler
Yeah the file folder will act weird on mac, so that is your issue. You will just see it differently than windows people will. Windows see's the folder inside the LorinthsRpgMobs folder, where as you see a seperate folder completely. It still works just looks strange on mac.
I'll work out a tweak soon for mac, so it looks cleaner(as its supposed to look)
@doitliketyler
Have you tried deleting everything and reinstalling the plugin? (You should probably save your config files)
And i guess you are using a mac? But that can´t be the problem. If you haven´t, try reinstalling first.

Mine looks like this

@doitliketyler
What exactly are you talking about?
This is how it looks for me:
Inside the general plugin folder there is the lrm.jar-file+lrm folder.
Inside the lrm folder there are yml-files and the language folder
Inside the language folder there are yml-files.
@lorinthios
lorinthios that is what I'm trying to tell you. When your plugin unloads it puts the language file in the plugins folder and not inside the LorinthsMobs folder. I even said that below with an example.
@doitliketyler
The quoted line you are referencing is towards new features, and general accomodation. I will not change the file setup of my plugin the way you are wanting, and im sorry that has you upset, but i still dont understand why i would put the language files for my plugin in the general plugins folder. It just simply doesnt make sense to me. So i do take new ideas and suggestions, however yours, again, does not make sense to me.
But with your comments, it made me feel like you saw me as inferior to your vast knowledge. So i apologize for going on the defensive, but if you have other ideas please feel free to share! I would also be happy to take this to private message if you would like to discuss further. I would like to leave my bukkit updates for errors and other upkeep items
@lorinthios
Ok, well that wasn't an argument so don't get your panties in a twist over someone asking questions and giving their suggestion/opinion. You should probably remove this:
"Suggestions of what you want! (I have a list, but if its quick and simple enough I can slide it in, otherwise it will be done sometime in the future)"
Because if you can't handle responding to simple suggestions/opinions from someone trying your plugin out without offense then you shouldn't be requesting them in the first place. Cheers.
@lorinthios
Well, i always look at the wiki pages first, before posting. Just to make sure i didn´t miss anything ;)
Can´t wait to test out the new version!
@zippolino
Finally, I have fixed, tested (successfully), and now uploaded it to bukkit! Thank you for letting me know about this issue!
@zippolino
Seems you were correct, they are not displaying at all. I will work on a fix now!
