TerrainControl is an advanced world generator. Through various configuration files it gives the user control over almost every aspect of Minecraft terrain generation, with no knowledge of Java required. It can be used on Bukkit or Forge servers and on singleplayer with Forge. TerrainControl is the successor to the old PhoenixTerrainMod, which was based on the popular BiomeTerrainMod.

Metrics
As of Terrain Control 2.4.13, the plugin sends some stats to mcstats.org, a service by Hidendra and others. You can view the stats here. Terrain Control won't upload your configs, it will only send your BiomeMode along with some information of your computer. You can toggle it off by setting opt-out
to true
in the metrics config file. More information is available on this wiki page.

How to use
TerrainControl is more complex than most Bukkit plugins, so it may take a while to get into - but the results are worth it. If you want to create your own world, be sure to check our documentation. If you have done some reading and still have problems using TerrainControl, just post to our forums and we'll try to figure it out.

Yes, I understand it :)
Does anybody understand how to use this, I've found the wiki page on it but I understand it very little. Could somebody help me set it up on a server please.
Is that red stuff lava?
Any clue when this will be ready? days ... weeks... more?
@minechomp Not working in 1.0.0 yet ..
@Squiller Hmm maybe i will add .. but it is not good for performance
@Kierrow Yeap grass color and weather generated in client side :/ It can be fixed only by client mod.
Still playing with new biome code .. Old methods for biome size and chance not work now. So trying new ideas and watch new maps, like this
This does not generate a new config on 1.0.0
It just gives this error:
Hey Khoorn ! :(
Does the wool codes like 35:5 works in the "replace blocks" line ? If not, can you add them ?
Khoorn, how do you do your biome code? I was told by a community member that biomes, or grass color, were generated client-side.
@minechomp
Well I have not tested it on properly on 1.0 but it appears to initialize correctly, Also I get what you mean now, yea that would probably be best I mean if the biome code was updated and released as a quick fix to get it working then we could all at least get a seed and map style we liked and then tweak that using any new features prior release on a reco CB server.
@ledhead900
What I meant was, perhaps he should update the plugin to the new biome code before he adds new features. This way people using TC can update their servers. So im curious. Even though this isnt updated, does it still work on 1.0.0?
@minechomp
I kinda would like the features :P as its a depedancy but I still need to create the world using the biomes I have now I just need the new version with updated biome code to do it on so any configuration changes for the better would be nice, imo anyway.
Perhaps adding new features right now isnt the best idea. This is a dependency for certain servers.
can u make a temp build for an experimental build Ill be your best friend :D (that worked 10 years ago it should work now)
Please update it for 1.0 I realy need it as fast as I can bec my server runs it :)
@ledhead900
@minechomp Yeap i am working on it now .. Trying to make biome code more configurable.
So when is this being updated? Its dead useful.
@Khoorn
Mate, you could get an early start on the 1.0 update here. http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/first-minecraft-1-0-0-bukkit-build-released-keep-discussion-here.46194/
There is development version out it would be helpful if you got this working at least one version on 1.0 as I desperately need this as its the foundation of my new server world for 1.0 so I would REALLY like to get the map made and tests done on 1.0 generation prior to reco release if at all possible.
Thanks for updating this mod so it wont die, but I have a question? For some reason it wont open up for me? I can download it fine, but nothing's coming up afterwards?
Thanks Khoorn, never admined a server until this point. Everything is working great now. Are there any good setting for maps that are all stone from bedrock to skybox? I see you got a nice cave screenshot in the op.
Hi Khoorn ! :) I have some questions :
Will you add one day something who make the floating islands creation easier (yes, I'm still working on these islands u_U ) ? I wish to have something like in the 1st photo of this page, maybe with more little islands ...
And also, does the "replace block" function support IDs like 35:8 for wool ?
Keep it up !
@Khoorn Finally made it work. It was my mistake in bukkit.yml, sorry.
