What is RacesAndClasses?
RacesAndClasses (RaC) was made to bring the best RPG experience to Minecraft servers. You are able to customize your own classes and races, making your server a world full of adventure! RaC is inspired by the biggest MMORPG game in the world, known as World Of Warcraft.

Plugins with RaC
RaC works with almost any plugin! Mcmmo, heroes, faction and towny. These are the most commonly used plugins for this plugin and they all work 100%
RaC offers plenty of configuration, for each individual server. For example some server owners love the teleport arrow for raiding, and some don't; so It's all up to you.
Developers guide
RaC is as mentioned, a customizable plugin, that also counts for custom traits.
This means, that any developer can make their own traits and make his/her server even more special!

Important notices
First of all: All these components can be disabled in the config!
Gravity's Updater:
For legal reasons and for uploading this plugin to Bukkit I have to mention, that the plugin has an updating service which connects to 'http://www.curseforge.com/'. This includes:
- Checking the Version of the plugin against the newest release Version.
- Downloading the newest Version if enabled.
Error Uploader:
Also the Plugin uses an Error Uploding Service, which connects to my Domain: www.tobiyas.tk.
This includes:
- Reading Errors from the error.log located at plugins/RacesAndClasses/debug/error.log
- Uploading these errors to my domain (www.tobiyas.tk)
- The Errors are visibly ONLY to me (Tobiyas) and are regularly checked to find and fix bugs faster than via Tickets.
Hidendra's Metrics:
The plugin uses Hidendra's Metrics service and sends Metrics data of your Server to the Metrics at 'http://mcstats.org/'. This includes:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
All these services are optional and can be disabled via Configuration.
UPDATING From 1.1.6 AND OLDER VERSION
If you use the config.raceMaxHealth: ... of a race, this has been removed with 1.1.7.
You now have to use config.healthbonus: ... (as in classes) instead.
You get 20 base health + race healthbonus + class health bonus.
UPDATING FROM 1.0.3 AND OLDER VERSION
If you use
general_saving_savePlayerDataToDB: true
Set this option to false and do a restart with the old Version. For best Use with 1.0.3 (RC 2)! This will convert all File DB related Data to YML data. If you do NOT do this, your PlayerData will be LOST!!!
If you have
general_saving_savePlayerDataToDB: false
you can safely ignore this step.
Known Bugs for Current Version (1.2.0)
Only runs on Bukkit distros using Spigot API (spigot, paper, ...).

Factions is not explicitly supported. But before dealing damage, an event is fired, which should be cancled by factions. You have to try on your own if it works.

That's strange. Are you on a disabled world (for the plugin), maybe?

Fireball trait is broken for damage in the current Verison.
But there is good news. I managed to fix that. So the next version will work correctly.

The news trait modifier can't work.
As i said beforen the Damage parameter do not work.> A simple exemple:
FireballTrait: damage: 10 range: 10 cost: 1 cooldown: 1
And
FireballTrait: damage: 2 range: 10 cost: 1 cooldown: 1
Deals the same damage: 4.
Even if you set damage 100, it will alwys do the same damage. Tested with decimal also, still the same. I have test only with magic skills, and it is not working.
I am having a problem where when I log in my health bonus is reset and I am put at two hearts. Is it possible that the health boost resets after login?
I'm planning to use this on a faction server. Is there a way for players not able to hurt his own kind in a specific zone? e.i. warzone like in treasure wars server. Thnx in advance.

This is pretty simple: '{race}{class}{name}: {message}'. You can add colorcodes, or other stuff of course. Level is not supported (at the moment). I will add it for the next version.

HI, For raceTeams.yml, are we obliged to use team1, team2 ...or can we chose the team name?

Yes, use 'visible: false' as a trait config. That will hide it.
A skill system will be included, but it's not that easy. @GDubstep
Change it in the channels.yml. You have to edit it while the plugin is not running / the server is not running. @turnerlewis
You can activate that the plugin creates a group for every race and adds the players to that group in the config.yml.
Is it possible to set specific kits from essentials to a race or class? Does class and race count as a group that players are in? That way I can target specific permissions at them.
How can i change the global channel ? i want to show for example (playerclass)(race)(level)(playername) and btw thx for your answer in my other comment and very nice plugin!
Is there a way to not have traits show in the menu? If I have a large class say with 10-20 traits it currently shows all of them and they go out of the screen. And, here's an idea although it might be hard to do (if so you don't need to do it) add a new parameter for traits that allows you to decide a skill point cost, skill tree icon, skill tree description, and skill tree display name. Then in the race/class file you can decide how many skill points it gets per level (this sounds very hard to make so you don't have to do it, but it's just an idea).

There is no way to use SkillAPI skills at the moment. I wrote the creator of SkillAPI for a little help how to use his API. Haven't got any response to now.

Can you please explain how to use skillapi with racesandclasses? I'm assuming it's possible because you have the option to use skillapi levels instead of racesandclasses ones.

I actually think I might have gotten this one. At least simplified.
I just build a simple Evaluator with variables. It can parse something like:
((%LEVEL%+1)*(%MANA%+2))/2
No idea, why... But it can :D

It is not possible to use SkillAPI Skills. SkillAPI has no Skill API. (Yeah I know... funny).
There is a option to run a command on Join of a class/race.
It's in the config.yml. You can use %RACE% or %CLASS% to replace race / class, %PLAYER% for the player name, %DISPLAY% for the player display name. %CONSOLE% to use command as console.
