Residence
About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

Its outdated page and version over there is only 2.6.7.0 when all new updates is being posted over https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/residence.11480/ and current official Residence version is 4.0.0.0 and increasing. As TOOTHPlCK1 mentioned, its still fully open source and if you really don't want to pay thos 10 bucks, you can always get it free.

To be clear Dart21/zrips both had permission to continue development, as well as blessing. Its a GPL plugin and is still 100% open source, however, just like I opted to with mcMMO, there is a "donation wall" for pre-compiled binaries. I.e. you could easily go compile it yourself, or you can donate a small bit of cash and grab their uploaded compiled versions. Honestly in the current state of minecraft I have no qualms with their methods assuming they still put work into the project. That being said, you can always feel free to send me money still :P

Sorry but i can't agree with you.
First of all, the Residence is opensource (GPL), so if you don't want to pay you can always compile the plugin your own.
Second, you still can download the latest Residence without paying if you really have problem with 10$ to support developer.
Yes, some money could go to the org developer, but ... why the guy that provide support now should do that for free, so if you want do compenste original dev, send them money.

Posted Oct 25, 2015Very disappointed to report in for those looking, that Dart21 apparently took over the project and decided unlike this awesome dev, that he should charge $10 to use it now. So if you want this plugin for a 1.8+ server, you'll have to look elsewhere for an awesome, free alternative.. Unless you don't mind paying $10. Since I run a server as many modders/devs do here, for the fun and enjoyment of it, I do NOT charge people to play on my server, so thus cannot pay others. If anyone knows a good alternative, please link us here.. To the ORIGINAL DEV: Your plugin was top-notch. I know MANY who considered a staple on their servers. If ANYONE deserved some compensation it would have been you. I'm sorry to see you let this guy do this, when I read about it a few weeks ago, I thought.. Nah, they probably found some copycat clone of the same name. Again, words can't describe how disappointing this change in ownership and his decision is. :(

Posted Aug 16, 2015Hi, I have a problem. I am a player on one server and try to use Residence as a city. The problem is the last given flag on residence is higher than subzone flags.
/pset on residence is higher than /set or /gset on subzone so a have to /pset all of subzones for one new citizen
In this time, is there some config option to get subzone flags higher than residence?
In future can you do something like flag priority? perhaps like this: "/res set flagpriority 1-X" and by priority is subzone flags higher or lower than residence flags

Posted Jun 29, 2015Is there a way you can make the residence overlay WorldGuard. Like if you make a selection in world guard, then make a selection in residence, what happens is it doesn't let you build in the residence selection because of worldguard. Can u fix that?

and change the groups.yml as

just remove Chinnese.yml I think that will resolve the problem, but be aware that you do not have selected Chinnese on your config.yml remove Chinnese.yml inside residence.jar search for it inside the jar
