Supported versions:
- Dynmap v1.3 or later
- Residence v2.6.6.2 or later
Dynmap-residence provides a simple way to add visibility of Residence zones and subzones on Dynmap's maps. The plugin depends on the presence of both Dynmap and Residence, and interacts directly with the Residence API. Updates to zones are automatically updated (on a settable period - default is once per 5 minutes (300 seconds)), or by listening for custom update events from Residence (0.12 or later). By default, the plugin will be active after simply installing it (by unzipping the distribution into the plugins/ directory and restarting the server.
Visibility of regions can be controlled via the 'visibleregions' and 'hiddenregions' settings. Besides listing the names of the regions to be made visible or hidden, entries with the format 'world:<worldname>' can be used to make all regions on a given world visible or hidden.
Also, the display of the region outlines can be restricted to a minimum zoom-in level, via the 'minzoom' setting. When non-zero, this setting causes the region outlines to only be displayed at or beyond the given zoom-in level.
Note: If you are currently using the region component for Residence in Dynmap, you should disable that support while installing dynmap-residence.

Configuration:
After the first load, there will be a config.yml file in the plugins/dynmap-residence directory. Details of the default configuration, and all the provided settings, can be found here

MacGyver420 Jan 22, 2013 at 13:01 UTC - 0 likesResdepth seems to have broken with the recent versions of residence. Worked fine in 0.30 and 0.40dev until sometime around the 2.6.6.x versions of Residence. Now shows all subzones instead of the depth limit.

This should be working now, although if you are depending on github source, you cannot expect the plugin developers to have it compatible as key changes are made to the source between each build, sometimes editing and reediting those same changes, which makes expecting third party plugins to adapt to work with the dev build a bit insensible considering the changes they adapt to might just be completely changed a day later. Although with this particular situation it resulted from a mistake in an edit to an api method so it SHOULD all be working fine now, although there are no guarantees.

Hmmm...
2.6.6 is the version I get when loading Residence as source from Github. I am not using the prebuilt version as I modified it a little to my needs. Doing that with an older version than head is just extra work.
But as it is already on the way, works well and will hit the bukkit page soon, it will be needed sometime.
Anyone know whats the difference which breaks it? anything that might be easy to fix? (I don't feel like debugging that...)

That's because you shouldn't be using anything higher than 2.6.5.2 Get the latest current release of this from the bukkit page.

Anytime you expand a res by adding areas, your going to get a whole new square on dynmap residence. Changing the stroke to match the fill color and opacity is about your only option.
