Supported versions:
- Dynmap v1.7.1 or later
- Residence v2.6.6.5 or later
Dynmap-residence provides a simple way to add visibility of Residence zones and subzones on Dynmap's maps. The plugin depends on the presence of both Dynmap and Residence, and interacts directly with the Residence API. Updates to zones are automatically updated (on a settable period - default is once per 5 minutes (300 seconds)), or by listening for custom update events from Residence. By default, the plugin will be active after simply installing it (by unzipping the distribution into the plugins/ directory and restarting the server.
Visibility of regions can be controlled via the 'visibleregions' and 'hiddenregions' settings. Besides listing the names of the regions to be made visible or hidden, entries with the format 'world:<worldname>' can be used to make all regions on a given world visible or hidden.
Also, the display of the region outlines can be restricted to a minimum zoom-in level, via the 'minzoom' setting. When non-zero, this setting causes the region outlines to only be displayed at or beyond the given zoom-in level.
Note: If you are currently using the region component for Residence in Dynmap, you should disable that support while installing dynmap-residence.
Configuration:
After the first load, there will be a config.yml file in the plugins/dynmap-residence directory. Details of the default configuration, and all the provided settings, can be found here

It appears that the current build nor the Dev build are comparable with 1.3.1 R2.0 however there is work i progress to update?
I tried the 0.30 Dev version with the latest (stable) bukkit build and it breaks the entire map. :( Looks like I have to wait for an update.
@Lostwave
The 0.30 Dev version fixed this for me.
@ArmyHill01
No I did not. Just started when I updated... but I also updated Dynmap to .60 at the same time.
Before that it worked perfectly. So its probably a dynmap issue, not a 1.3 issue.
@Lostwave
I'm still on 1.2.5-R5 and getting the same error. Did you have any issues with this before you updated to 1.3 ?
Hey mike, just want to let you know, on 1.3.1 with dynmap .60-1246 I am getting this:
09:59:40 [WARNING] Task of 'dynmap-residence' generated an exception java.lang.NullPointerException at java.lang.String.replace(Unknown Source) at org.dynmap.residence.DynmapResidencePlugin.formatInfoWindow(DynmapResidencePlugin.java:129) at org.dynmap.residence.DynmapResidencePlugin.handleResidence(DynmapResidencePlugin.java:227) at org.dynmap.residence.DynmapResidencePlugin.handleResidence(DynmapResidencePlugin.java:271) at org.dynmap.residence.DynmapResidencePlugin.updateResidence(DynmapResidencePlugin.java:291) at org.dynmap.residence.DynmapResidencePlugin.access$000(DynmapResidencePlugin.java:38) at org.dynmap.residence.DynmapResidencePlugin$ResidenceUpdate.run(DynmapResidencePlugin.java:107) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.scheduler.CraftScheduler.mainThreadHeartbeat(CraftScheduler.java:126) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.q(MinecraftServer.java:510) at net.minecraft.server.DedicatedServer.q(DedicatedServer.java:212) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.p(MinecraftServer.java:474) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:406) at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:539)
If it isn't too much trouble @mikeprimm, could you please take a look at my ticket: https://github.com/webbukkit/dynmap-residence/issues/2 I am needing a way to remove the mess of areas in my residence. I have 4 areas overlapping each other and it makes the color of the region on the map so dark that you can not even see what is inside of it. Thank you.
I can confirm that 3D regions aren't working for me either.

hello
these settings from a wiki doesn't work for me:
%price%" - indicates the sale price of the residence %rentdays%" - indicates number of days the residence can be rented for %rent%" - indicates the money cost for renting the residence
all returns a null string.
I use iConomy v 6
Please help
runnning latest unstable build on 1.2.3 r 01 seems to work fine so far. (V 0.17)
thanks for plugin I tried to change some settings:
3d aspect - doesn't work for me
%rent% and %rentdays% return me a null string.
Anyone tried to change this settings and worked?
I get the error (paraphrasing) "Dynmap marker API is is requested but on active. Add the marker component to the configuration.txt did not load."
This causes the config file to not be generated. Now to figure out how to add the marker component...
Update:
Adding this to configuration.txt fixed problem (in case anyone else was having the issue):
- class: org.dynmap.MarkersComponent
type: markers
showlabel: false
enablesigns: false
showspawn: false
spawnicon: world
spawnlabel: "Spawn"
showofflineplayers: false
offlinelabel: "Offline"
offlineicon: offlineuser
offlinehidebydefault: true
@TWolfWD
Thats already available, look under the hiddenregions: section of the config, use ResidenceName.SubzoneName
This is very cool and works well, but something I'd like to see is the ability to hide specific residents, possibly through the use of residence flags or a whitelist. I specifically would like to see this so I can hide some subzones that would give away quest details. My temp fix is to render no subzones, but what fun is that :P
i am not using 3d representation for residences and our plot generator has the 30 or so blocks as the main world height. DynMap-Residence is assuming that everything will be at sea level (64 blocks) so everythng looks off (look in the picture) can we have an option on what level(height) the 2d representations will be?? Thanks, Great job with your plugins i enjoy them fully.
really nice idea. This map is now more like google maps.
@etgoleski
I've confirmed that the configuration file is being made properly with current CB recommended build (1337) and with the 1.0.0 current builds. What server.log messages do you see for the plugin?
its a cool idea but once i installed it nothing happened no change on the map no config file im updated both other plugins and ive even maually made the config file when it didn't make it on its own
