Solar Apocalypse
SOLAR APOCALYPSE!
The worlds rotation is slowing, We must move underground to Survive!
Solar Apocalypse is a survival game, to make mine craft even harder! The mod destroys all plant and animal life on the surface over a span of 4 days. Players are forced to move underground and try to survive as long as they can.
Mod Features
Natural looking Destruction and Regrowth
- World Changes to a fiery or frozen wasteland.
- All exposed plant life dies off.
- Biomes Change to desert during the day and tundra at night.
- The world can be slowly restored with the regrow system a few blocks at a time.
Day GamePlay Mechanics
- Lava balls fall from the sky
- Anything exposed to Sun Light will burst into flames.
- Colored glass can protect from the suns death rays.
Night GamePlay Mechanics
- Players and Animals take cold damage when away from heat sources (lights) even under ground!
- Full Leather armor can keep players warm underground, but not outside.
- Players can see there breath when they are getting too far from the light.
- Snow Piles up to form huge drifts.
- Super lighting storms strike without warning.
Time Control
- The time length of Day, Night and Dusk/Dawn can be independently increased, decreased or skipped entirely.
- Players can right click a clock for info about whats going on and how much time is left.
Mulit-World Support
- You can destroy as many worlds as you like in many different ways.
- Destruction pauses if no players are in the world
Fully Customizable World Config
- Each world can have its own config separate config file.
- Plugin config file.
- The World's Config File can be modified for new types of gameplay.
- Share your Config files on the forums!
Basic Commands
- /apocadmin -plugins help
- /apocadmin [worldName] Start - Starts Solar Apocalypse on [worldName]
- /apocadmin [worldName] Stop - Stops Solar Apocalypse

How To Install and run
- Download the plugin
- Place the .jar file in your plugins directory.
- Run the server.
- To start a game type "/ApocAdmin world start" where world is the name of the world you want to destroy!
- Enjoy the game!
- type "/ApocAdmin world stop" to stop.

SolarApocalypse.ApocAdmin access to the /ApocAdmin command

Edit: Okay, a couple of things: First: *worldname*.yml is being created, but never popuplated. So my server directory has
root\plugins\solarapocalypse\config.yml
root\plugins\solarapocalypse\*worldname*.yml
Config.yml has a few lines;
but *worldname*.yml in my case, at.yml , apoctest.yml, apoctest2.yml (I tried a few times) is completely empty, showing at zero bytes.
I wonder if it's one of my other plugins conflicting. I'm done for the night, but tomorrow I'll try running it as the only plugin and post results here. Thanks again for the help.

Above, apoctest2.yml does get created. But it's blank.
@Lupus_Irae Looks like one of your config files is screwy, try deleting the configs if that doesn't work try, edit SolarApocalypse/Lupus_Irae.yml delete the line.

@LtPhantom You need CraftBukkit 1.7.2 beta the mod won't run on anything lower.

Hello. I'm running on CraftBukkit 1.7.2 beta r0.2 (#2974) I wanted to give this plugin a shot on a test world while our server was empty before I started it on any of our other worlds. I tried setting the Day ( /apoc *worldname* day 20) to further along... and got no changes. The only effect I have seen is taking damage at night.
My test world is called at and I'm Lupus_Irae of course. I'll be AFK for a few hours but feel free to PM me, I'll respond as soon as I can. Thanks for the help. (On the other hand, this may just be the Beta version of Bukkit acting up, so don't worry too much.) PS: My server console spat out the following:

Yea, I'm using the most recent 1.6.4 craftbukkit.jar and the available SA plugin.

That's an error message, looks like its a problem with the verson of bukkit I used or your running.
Download the newest verson see if that fixes it. I'll check it when I get a chance.

It doesn't specifically say "error", but this is what pops up over and over while the apocalypse is started. Also, this is my first time using this mod, along with the first time using bucket.

Yea, I have to agree with ShiftsCinema. For some reason the only thing that happens is that during the day, we burn, and at night we freeze. The storms are also present, but nothing in the world gets destroyed. Is this a bug in the coding, or is this something we screwed up? If it is, how can we fix it?
Hey great plugin!
I'm having some trouble with the solar apocalypse actually causing physical damage and burning players though. I'm created a large slot server based around the plugin, but when I start it up on the main world, nothing happens. I set the apocalypse to day only, and set the day to day five. Nothing happens however. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm running Bukkit 1.7.2 by the way!

Regrowth may be causing lag at server start up.

I'm getting ready for some big apoc changes and I could use input from the servers running the plugin, I want to make the game able to loop with ever changing effects.
