I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
Name | ID | Description |
---|---|---|
Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

Isn't really big, around 1000-3000 blocks...

FAR too big. I sometimes dip mine just over 10k and even then only for very short periods.
I really love and support this mod, keep it up :) Any info on what's gonna be in the update?
Also is it at all possible to modify in the config what blocks the ship can move? Also, might be aware but things such as dispensers or redstone repeaters don't turn with the ship and therefore end up facing the wrong way

I have another problem now. I made an airship and it says it doesn't have a burner, even though i clearly made one.
I can't wait for the new version to come out! Is there going to be a new type of ship, or is that a secret? Also a cool feature to have would be wind. It would cause slight drift when the airship was sitting still, and affect movement when the ship was moving. It would be cool to have, but it's probably too complex. You could also make free-floating balloons that way

try not using worldedit, and make a box out of wool. add windows and use an iron zone for the burner, if you have craftbook you can even put a switch on it so you can switch it on and off. after this process you'll get the idea and then proper airship shaped ones will be easier. Sometimes it'll could up airblocks in the design and mess over the ratio.
I am having a problem. Whenever i try to make an airship and put wool on it, it just keeps saying ADD MORE WOOL! In a mild rage a used world edit to make the wool 1000blocks by 1000blocks. And it still said add wool...
I look through the forums before asking questions and i saw quite a few people have had this problem and yet have had no reply.
Is this a bug or are we doing something wrong?

I found the problem with the wool thing; it's again based off of how our server has an ocean at block height 32 rather than 64. Apparently that really messes up the ship system. I think I can fix tha

well, yes, you can solve it by changing the config... but the default is wrong :P
I fixed the water-column issue, was due to our oceans being at height 32 instead of 64.
Now the only remaining issue is the fact that it always says [ships] add wool when we try and pilot a ship. Every time. Has anyone else encountered this issue and how did you solve it? Our configuration file is set to very low, like 1% wool, and the test ship is 88% wool.

I believe that the default configuration is messed up: It used to be that ships had to have 15% wool and airships had 60%; now they both have 60 percent on default settings. This doesn't make sense.
I sailed a ship today for the first time in a long time, and when it moved it made a whole bunch of water above it... like a huge column of water source blocks. Something broke, I think :P
I changed the speed in the file for airships and noticed it does not make the ships travel more blocks per click, is there an option for this or is it not yet implemented?
