I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
Name | ID | Description |

Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

Ive just gone on my test server and tried to recreate the issue. I could not recreate it. Therefore i can not release a new version of ships saying that the issue is fixed. Could you redownload the same version of Ships again (you would be surprised how much that actually works) and replace your current one with that version, if that doesnt work I may need to supply you with special versions of Ships until the issue is resolved
Based on the error and what you have told me it seems like the ships structure is updating on the move before but not updating the sign location, but again redownload and test again (if you dont mind)

this is very strange. Ill need to do some digging into why thats happening (Ships 5 has never given a error like that before). Ill give you some more detail on whats going wrong and how to fix it asap.
from what i can see from just the error this looks like a fault on my behalf
When I restart the serb and delete the old /ships/ folder it starts to work again then stops working when the players make around 5-9 ships
im also using ships Ships v5.0.1.9

Ships 5.0.0.0 is very old, try 5.0.1.8 (MC 1.10.x) to fix a lot of bugs

There will be a message sent to the player or a error sent to the console if the signs stop working. Could i have the message and/or error code. Could I also have the MC version and Ships version you are using?
Ships stop working on multiplayer when people make 9+ ships, the ships stop responding to the signs

Short answer. I dont know.
Long answer. Sponge is getting the first release of ships 6.0. after sponge gets there release i will be making the bukkit version. Because ships 6.0 is reprogrammed from the ground up, it does take a while.
The sponge version of ships 6.0 is currently moving ships backwards, only has one ship type. So the base of the code is there, but its still a long way off from releasing
I am thinking of releasing a 5.1 line up of ships for bukkit during the waiting progress for 6.0 that will have the awaited for new movement method.

Back in the older ships versions (ships 4) you could disable them. However now you need to just give your players only the watership use and make permission.
I am bringing the feature back in ships 6, however we a while away from a relase
I want to only allow WaterShips with this mod, and disable all the other ships. How do you do that?

that plugin was going to do it, however the plugin developer hasnt released a update for it. So no, not at the moment at least.

I will also say that the ability to transform any ship into another world is easy to do within the Ships 5 API.
Q: Is there a way to get a craft to travel to other worlds (ie Multiworld/Multiverse) when it gets within a certain area defined by a moderator
Ships 6.0.0.0
As some people know, I have been working on Ships 6.0.0.0 in the background for Sponge (and later Bukkit). but for those who don't know. Ships 6.0.0.0 uses a brand new way (to Ships) that will cut the resources needed to actually move the ship by more then half.Ships 6.0.0.0 has a complete new API (the hooking code) behind it that allows Ships to be opened up even more to developers.
if you are a developer wanting to build something for Ships, here is what is being opened up for you.
Server Admins should be pleased to know that these systems being opened up will allow you to move onto older algorithms if they please. The following algrithums are programmed into Ships 6 by default

Ships 1-4 will not be programmed into it due to the structure of how Ships 1-4 worked is so different and buggy that i dont believe that it will be used

Ok. That is strange. Are you able to do '/ships info' and could you send your config?
its a 1.9 version and im op so ya i have permission. i can create every sign but that one

what version of Ships are you using? is it the one for 1.9.x? Do you have permission to create the ship?
help everything works besides the [Ships] sign it just becomes a normal sign and dosnt work, im on minecraft 1.9.2

HELP,i put down all the correct signs for a ship,put down a furnace,put 64 coal in it,make a boiler,and when i try to right click the boost sign,it just says ''Ships sign cannot be found'',and the ships sign says that my ship is only 1 block.i even tried putting the ships sign on top of the move sign,but no luck.help pls?
