I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

Move the ship:
In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
Name | ID | Description |
---|---|---|
Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

Hey Qx2 Thanks for one of the best plugins out there! I just have one question though. In the config for the mod It says I can change the required %'s and the required block types needed to make a ship/airship. When I change those though it remains the same in the server (Such as if I change the required block to iron blocks and make it 2%, In the server I will still have to add 60% of wool to it to make it fly.) I don't know if I'm missing something simple or not. Thanks again.

but wouldn't that also affect the 'engine' sign? they all work, just not EOT. and i can't find any blocks that wouldn't follow the construction rules

if you write ship on the [ships] sign instead of airship then it allows it to move without a burner and with no fuel consumption

Some elements of the ship are not added to the vessel and cause collisions, see the section "construction" in the description.

And at what height, swim the boat?
I built a ship, and every sign seems to work fine except the EOT. when i attempt to use it i get the message "[ship] obstacle on the course", when there isn't one. any ideas why?

I am running Craftbukkit R1 1.3.1
When i start my server with this plugin, it is not listed in the plugin list, and i cant use any of the features. Help appreciated!
I have a very small issue. Whenever I move a ship that is in the water, it leaves a large hole in the water where the ship used to be. Not major, but it ruins the landscape. Any way to fill the holes back up with water automatically as the ship moves?

In version 2.0 of fall does not occur at the time of the flight. (Except for standing on edge or half-blocks) When you rotate the stand close to the steering wheel. Thanks to this not fall. This will improve in future versions.

In future releases will give opportunity to define yourself the ship.
People are falling off my ship all the time, when auto-pilot is on, when i turn around etc
I wanted to express my thanks again for this great plugin! I've had a great time flying around my world. I fell off a ship earlier today, while it was on auto-pilot. When I made it back to where I had died...the ship had already flown off and I never could find it. hahah.
I do have one small request thought. Torches are great sources of light, would it be possible to include glowstone as a building material for ships and airships?

Would it be possible to make buttons and such stick with the ship when it moves? Would be nice so we could use this plugin along with yours: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/block-cannons-v1-1/
Also, would it be possible to make it so livestock and other creatures travel with the ship as well?

My users are having issues creating regular Ships, i understand the requirements for both airships/ships are very strict, but the issue is i add all the correct signs to a "ship" and nothing happens, no warnings/errors ect. I change the sign label from ship, to airship, and i get a response? So the boat is not built incorrectly surely?
