You don't have to decompile the plugin. You can find there the source code with comments and building utilities.
ScoreboardStats is open source and hosted on GitHub; feel free to fork, star, or contribute by making pull requests and opening issues.
Auto-Updater
- This plugin uses an Auto-updater. if you don't want an automatically update. Disable it in the configuration.
- The updater only utilize the api of curse/dev.bukkit, so you don't get an unapproved version. Every file providing there is accepted by the devBukkit staff
- I can upload a new version with bug fixes where you don't have to download it, the plugin can do it for you automatically.
- The updater only runs on plugin startup, and then as a seperate thread, so it doesn't really affect your startup time.
- Every file there equals the files on this page.
Compatibility with older minecraft versions
As you can see on file list there are selected three versions. These version numbers are for the Minecraft versions. Lowest test version, mid version and the highest tested version. That means that you should always use the latest version of ScoreboardStats although you use an old Minecraft version. It's very hard to use all versions at once, so please use the newest version of ScoreboardStats.
can you make it work with Quests plugin
It's on my todo list.
@games647 That was one of the best explanations, you do an amazing job and its fantastic to see that you care for your clients! Unfortunately upon testing it out, there were a few things I wasn't too pleased with and had to look elsewhere for a side bar with the features I am looking for.
For example, using /sb reload will "successfully reload the plugin via chat" but no changes in the config are displayed in the actual sidebar unless you restart your server.
Another issue being that most of the variables are not working for me, and I have input them correctly. It also seems like you cant add custom text? Anytime I try to add anything other then variables, nothing ever shows up on the restart.
@RenHax
In a few words
Activate compatibility Mode in the config and install ProtocolLib if you don't have it already.
Why doesn't it work without it?
It's a bug or missing feature in Minecraft. The minecraft server doesn't accept more than one scoreboard for a player. While it's possible that a player has either a global (like yours) or personal scoreboard (like ScoreboardStats) it's not possible to have both. Other plugins have the same issue.
How does this plugin deal with it? - The Solution
I worked around this issue by bypassing the Server API and sending the raw packets direct to the client without letting the server know what they mean. This makes sidebar from ScoreboardStats like personal and others as they are. But this could also cause conflicts. For example if other plugins wants to show something on the sidebar and they don't know that ScoreboardStats already shows a scoreboard there.
Fix the conflicts
So I use ProtocolLib in order to listen to changes and keep the compatibility with all minecraft version with a high performance (runtime compiler).The scoreboard from ScoreboardStats will disappear if another scoreboard objective on the same display slot wants to show up and will appear again after the other one was removed.
In conclusion:
Benefits of the compatibility mode:
Negative Effects
Note
I hope you understand everything. I tried to explain it non-coder friendly.
Hello, I use default minecraft scoreboards for rank prefixes above players heads and in the tablist, but unfortunately when using this plugin, they lose both of these as if scoreboards no longer exist. Is there a way to make default scoreboards work while still using this plugin?
Thanks!
@MineCraftMyph
Yes very soon.
@Maxx_Qc
Any errors on startup or player login? Is the plugin running?
Did you also tried the other method?
There we go : http://pastebin.com/fFufE8zC
Hello,
I own a server and i want to make the scoreboard some what animated,
i would like to make the title of the scoreboard '&f&lWelcome Player, %player%' scroll accross if you have ever played mineplex you'll know what i mean,

would love to use this plugin but i need help figuring it out! :P
Both isn't implemented yet, but I'm working on it.
when i enable compatibility mode and refresh the server/plugin the scoreboard disappears
@games647
Update available anytime soon?
@SayHi2uTube
No, it isn't.
@Maxx_Qc
Please use next time Gists, hastebin, pastebin or formatting tags. It would be better to read the code.
Nevertheless could you send me the config from ScoreboardStats? Maybe an error occurred while loading the pvp stats.
@q1411690572
What's the problem. It would be nice to hear a description of your issue in order to help you.
HI,I can‘t use it.Can you write down how to use it?
I don't know why it is not working! What am I doing wrong? public boolean onCommand(CommandSender sender, Command cmd, String label, String[] args) { if(cmd.getName().equalsIgnoreCase("test")) { Player player = (Player)sender; PlayerStats stats = getStats(player); int kills = stats.getKills(); sender.sendMessage(String.valueOf(kills)); } return true; }
Is this compatable with the plugin [Prison Rankup]?

@GamerSynchro
ScoreboardStats is already compatible with minecraft 1.8.3. The newest file is works for all minecraft versions above 1.5. At the moment it's not possible to select a higher version than 1.8.1 for the files, but it really is compatible for 1.8.3.
1.8.3?
@Maxx_Qc
Sorry for the delay, I wasn't at home earlier. See this example. I hope that could help you.
See the comment in the wiki. Either pvp stats are disabled or the stats aren't loaded in that moment.
@MDRunaway
Didn't noticed that bug. Thanks for the report, I fixed it.
Hello, i really enjoy this plugin. But i found a Bug in your current release ( 0.9.1), the mcmmo data will only be updated on login or when i toogle /scoreboardstats to perform a reload of the scoreboard. Could you please fix that? Never the less the Plugin is really nice.
Kind regards, MDRunaway
Eclipse, I tried the getstats method on command /test but it causes a nullpointerexception
