Residence
About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

any release for that fix ? I am using PermissionsEx, Multiverse and Residence/Faction. Trying to enable Residence creations in world1 and Faction claims in world2 (and disabling Residence in world2). Setting CanCreate to true in config file disables all PermissionsEx checks for residence.create. Setting CanCreate to false, and no selection can be made in either worlds, even when residence.create is set (whether globally or in world1). Using v2.5-dev-2.

You have no Idea what your talking about... For one fieldmaster is currently recoding the WHOLE plugin. He is release his new version residence 3.0. Bekvon on the other hand is maintaining 2.x which is temurary until the end of this month/beginning of next month. Next time you come to rage get your facts straight first.

Had this issue too, and thought I was going to need to change plugins... When the server would restart after the update, the residences for my worlds were deleted, and the files were back to default.. When I tried to put my backup files back and reload the plugin, it would delete them, and place blank defaults again. What I noticed after a little looking, was the seed numbers between my backups, and the default files were different. I edited the backup files to place the new seed number in, and after another reload, all my residences were back.

C'est la vie. Plugin development is not a full time job, won't put food on the table, and won't get you through school any easier.
You would have better luck supporting someone else to take up the mantle to continue development on this plugin than beating a dead horse.
Don't bother with tickets or comments. This guy is in over his head. Never responds to tickets never responds to comments. Responded to one person in last 2 or 3 week in comments and that's Dockter. Ignored everyone else even though their problems were much more urgent. Refuses to fix permissions coding. Forces people like bperms guys to make a hack in their own code to allow bad/lazy coders to hook into the API incorrectly. Last update a month ago... Residence dead again? I think so.

I Am Also Experiencing ValawynV's Problem And Im Probarbly Gonna Downgrade And See If it Fixes it This Is Annoying But It Doesnt Always Happen... Only On Some Server Shutdowns
I am now experiencing the same problem as estevduart. Plugin's loading, but whenever I put the Residences back into the proper world Save file and start it up, they disappear. Yay.
what is the permission for beeing able to use the selection tool?
Residence plugin works fine, but after closing the server all the residences are lost.
Residence is loading when the Save folder is deleted and regenerated back to empty defaults, but for some reason, when running with the Save folder restored from backups (back to having all the Residences in it) it fails to even so much as load.

Tried with all downloadable versions of the plugin, tried re-downloading each one 3 times.
I changed LegacyPermissions, as I am using PermissionsEx.
I selected an area, did /res select vert. That all worked.
Did /res create <name> and got an internal server error. Is this the server or the plugin, also, can I fix it?
It's better of using v2.4.4 until they make a stable version of Residence.
Any idea what's going on here? Went from working perfectly to not working at all upon restarting.
