Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

engine mode 2 and 3 whats the difference and which is better?
@lishid
i7 and 10Go of Ram dedicated solely to the server running Orebfuscator, and TPS drops to 8, I don't see how that's a poor CPU :/
I use engine 2 or 3 with update radius 3.
I have no idea how this runs on a lighter server; however, I have a 10x10 fiber with a 3.4GHz quad-core and 5GB ram dedicated to the game *8GB on the server* and I didn't notice this was even installed. Love how well it works... I run in mode 1 and players accept it as a nicer solution than xray'd maps.
Good work do me a favor and fix some of the updating (UpdateRadius) for those of us with nicer servers to allow more frequent updates (or clear up the config comments if it's already there I don't see what I should change).
Thank you man, How can I donate some dollars ?
@GreenSlime and @lishid
NoLagg made a patch to fix that issue with this plugin. Make sure you're using the latest version.
@Pteraspidomorphi
Yes, I'm considering moving to a larger container file for caches.
@ElgarL
It depends on which lag. TPS lag (low TPS) is not caused by network data, but poor CPU or similar problems on the server. Actual client-side lags might be caused by network data problem.
@predawnia
/ofc disable world <worldname>
@GreenSlime
Someone reported that playing with NoLagg configuration fixes imcompatibilities with Orebfuscator. (look at forum post, page around 20)
@re4397

@ElgarL
Before using nothing you should at least use a plugin that allows for checking ratios and maybe light levels, that gives you good detection for at least the dumb xrayers.
Several out there (logblock+custom queries, xraydetection, DarkTrace)...
I am also considering using Orebfuscator as more or less the most striking technique available against xray, yet testing is pending and i might need a more powerful server...
I'd like to see any update to this so I can start using it again. I have definate xrayers on my server, but no way to properly detect them.
Too much CPU/network load in it's current form.
See the crash of my server because the orebfuscator: http://pastebin.com/w2nzgvD1
I tried this with the "glasscraft" seethru tex pack and its working fine for me.
Using the spoutbridge version tho and not nolagg.
Does this in any way interfere with how NoLagg sends chunks? It seems to take a longer time for chunks to load, and they don't seem to firstly load in the direction of the player.
Hi may I know how to disable worlds in the configuration?
I have the following worlds with the folder names as below;
world
world_nether
world_skylands
world_myworld
and I want to disable Orebfuscator in world_nether, world_skylands and world_myworld
The lag is caused by a LOT of data being sent to the clients, not local caching/disk writes.
Caching chunks on separate files just isn't a very good idea. Mojang moved away from that system because it was a nightmare of disk writes.
@tok3ninja Didnt help much :/
To those of you experiencing the crippling lag and poor performance, disable caching or run /ofc clearcache every few days and the problem is fixed.
Lol... i know spout can force a tex pack, but i'm not using spout (hosts strongly advise against it for their systems).
However, i was hoping that it would be known why a wireframe texture pack would reveal the correct ores (i thought the data sent to the client was modified until you broke blocks? )
I love the idea of this! It is genious.
My only problem is that no matter how I configure it, it seems to cause some pretty bad lag when breaking blocks (You break a block and it takes 50ms before it pops of).
I really hope you have the solution for this. I am pretty much on the default config.
Also tested without other plugins, same issue.
Spout can force a texture pack ;)
We also experience TPS issues, we need another fix attempt for that.
