Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

I've been playing around, and it seems that xray mod is stopped by this (it shows the mixed ores), but wireframe tex pack gets around this quite easily. The texture pack, for some reason, see's the actual real blocks, instead of the fakes ones sent by the plugin. (and no, the person is NOT op)
With 10 people online on my test, with default settings its at 8TPS.
After adjusting a few things, I got it to 9 TPS. When I increased the amount of threads - it dropped to 2.5 TPS
Something is very wrong, methinks.
Actually, I think I've managed to fix it !
Only 10 people online, so it's not a great indicator, but I'm smooth at 20TPS, even when people log in/out. The fix was using some more fine-tuned java flags instead of the simple "-Xmx8G -Xincgc"
Seems to be working fine now, we'll see how it goes :D
Edit : Bleh, it's better but still not fixed, going as low as 9TPS from time to time, even if I'm sometimes stable at 20TPS, but it doesn't last long.
But why is there 600kb/s download when using it? oO
Edit again : DL went as high as 1100kb/s with 20 people online, when I disabled ofc it dropped back down to 165kb/s o_O
@ElgarL
Which plugin do you think could be interfering ? Out of these : "PermissionsBukkit" "MCDocs" "WorldEdit" "SignMaster" "SimpleHat" "Spout" "NoCheat" "CommandHelper" "TimTheEnchanter" "MobDisguise" "Permissions" "PlugMan" "LogOres" "iConomy" "Minequery" "MCSpirit" "LagMeter" "BorderGuard" "OpenInv" "SignColours" "Warpz0r" "SmokeTP" "SimpleCooldowns" "ConsoleFilter" "Vault" "BlockEnderDragon" "CommandBook" "Server Port" "WorldGuard" "CFBanner" "iGates" "StainedGlass" "ChestLock" "HawkEye" "mChat" "NarrowtuxLib" "Showcase" "OrebfuscatorSpoutBridge" "mChatSuite" "VanishNoPacket" "RideThaDragon" "MobArena" "properTime" "SimpleClans" "PreciousStones" "Orebfuscator"
Can I use the plugin NoLagg with Orebfuscator ?
One small issue.
In a attempt to block cave-finders and such, I found it EXTREMELY effective to use engine mode 2 and use air as one of the random blocks.
This made using xray to find dungeons nearly impossible(Using engine mode 2 by default will block xray perfectly, but, will not hide dungeons and caves)
The only issue with this, is it seems to crash everybodys clients after a while...
Have any suggestions on other ways to handle this?
@lishid
Yep :/
My config is totally default, with engine mode 2
Integers: EngineMode: 2 InitialRadius: 1 UpdateRadius: 2 ProcessingThreads: 1
@ElgarL
What is your configuration?
@Pr4w
I have 40 players and smooth 20TPS
Are you using default config? (Threads=1, InitialRadius=1, UpdateRadius=2)
Thanks! I am tired of annoying noobs telling me I "can't prove" they were x-raying when I have log block
Afraid I no longer have the plugin on my live server. I had to remove it to make it playable again.
@lishid
I'll run some tests, but I had no lag before, smooth 20 TPS with 50 players online, not it's 5TPS with 10 players... :/
Here's a log before enabling Orebfuscator, with plugin list, and everything, you'll see that the TPS drops pretty fast. It does come back up occasionally, but eventually it'll drop down to 5-6 and it becomes unplayable.
It's a PvP server so people don't have access to teleporting, and the /spawn is on a 10minute cooldown, so not much of that either.
Ip is Minecrafteurope.com:30000 if you'd like to come and check it out :) If it is something it's plugin interference, but I can't guess what.. Server is fully dedicated, 6Go allocated to the PvP server as I don't really need much more.
@Pr4w
The plugin should only cause some minimal lag when player join and teleports (downloading chunks). It does not take any CPU when chunks are not being downloaded. If it lags after an hour when nobody comes, it's another issue...
@ElgarL
EndOfStream errors? PM me your server address, I'll have a look.
@Pr4w
That's impossible! I have Engine mode 2 on my 40 player server and TPS never drops lower than 18, Intel Xeon 5620 with 1.5GB heap size :/ You mush be having some plugin that interferes or maybe your server isn't fully dedicated and is running other stuff?
@_Greylocke_
Yes, I fixed spout problems in 1.2.3
@oceanor
Engine 2? Since the stone is obfusacted, compression doesnt do much. I'm making a new version soon that should help with that.
Pumped the number of threads up, TPS was semi-stable around 12-16, but after an hour it dropped under 8, and never went back up, using v1.2.4 :/
However the network traffic thsi generates is a real issue.
Many of my players are getting stream diconnected errors...constantly. Remove the plugin and it's back to running perfectly.
This is running with default config (using cache) and no spout.
The lag IS much improved, but it's still a lot higher than usual.
nothing changed, lag still high.
config autogenerated and untouched, the problem is not thread related but bandwith related: pressing F3 and waiting for values to stabilize (usually after 10 min from login) it shows 400kb/s for each player in download, and 8kb/s in upload, without the obfuscator it says 50kb/s per player in dowload and 5kb/s upload.
My config resets, what did I miss?
