Hey great work I love your plugin!
Quick question. what is the permission node for people to view their own power..
factions.power and factions.viewanypower Seem to have no effect.
Dude iam using PEX and dont know how to disable factions.kit.fullplayer ... can you help me pls?
@rythar You need to specifically remove the player perms from them. Pretty sure factions auto assigns it unless otherwise told
Our new users are able to make factions even though the Guest group has no faction perms at all. not sure what im doing wrong
This seems to be conflicting with lockette in a small way. Its not a big deal as lockette and factions still work 100%
MY main question is, will this work with vault? Im looking to allow players to kill mobs for cash, and the plugin that allows that requires vault.
@Brettflan
I'm just glad to hear its still being worked on =P
@darkcloud784
1.7 makes some pretty big internal changes. The thing is, since part of the code structure has been rewritten by Olof to allow for a lot more neat stuff, a few existing features had to be removed temporarily in the process until they can be rewritten as well to work in the new structure.
When we do a beta release of it, I'll of course post the changelist. Until then, over the holidays, I don't really have time to do so.
Any news on 1.7 changes?
Anything major planned to be added?
@Crazdale
He actually did comprehend ;) He told you(right before he told you to piss off) they are working to switching to Vault which is less buggy and more reliable. It's always nice to see so many grateful people towards something that is free :)
@FlyWire
Factions grants the permission kit factions.kit.fullplayer by default, which grants a basic set of permissions. Read here. As I said, you'll need to deny the factions.list permission if you don't want people to have it.
@Brettflan
I don't have all of them written out. All I have is:
- factions.participate - factions.create - factions.viewAnyPower
and they can still use /f list
@Brettflan: "As for your attitude: kindly piss off and don't ask for any more free support for this free plugin, thanks in advance. I'll not waste any more time responding to anything else you have to say."
LOLs... you obviously didn't read and comprehend what I wrote... but hey, whatever makes you feel better. If you think I was asking for support to begin with, you are largely mistaken.
Have a good day sir!
@FlyWire
Deny the permission factions.list to anyone you don't want using it.
@Toxicminers
Addressed in my last post, but I'll repeat the relevant part: That's a known minor issue which causes no problems beyond extraneous logging. The players are marked for deletion but not immediately deleted, and they are logged as being removed each time the inactivity check is run irrespective as to whether they're already marked for deletion or not.
It will be handled better in the next release one way or another.
@Fishfish0001
Are you manually editing conf.json? That's a common source of trouble. You should use /f config instead, which changes conf.json settings safely and immediately.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but whenever I update Factions always ends up wiping out my config, resulting in everyone being removed from their faction (since I have that disabled), then I have to revert to a backup and try it again. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Unlike Crazdave I will not be an ass to you as I use and love this plugin it is the Core of my server. Thanks for the hard work you do for us..FOR FREE...
So I am experiencing an issue where it says it is removing people for inactivity but it just spams that over and over and doesn't do anything. Maybe I am havign an issue with register but was wondering if you know if this is a known issue. Any FREE help would be appreciated and thanks again for all yoru ahrd work bud.
I would like to know how to disable certain commands such as /f list.
@soccerkid1015
We'll probably revisit ways of handling power loss and transfer at some point.
@dunem666
Not sure then. I have no time to test economy stuff right now since I don't use any economy plugins myself, but maybe you'll have more luck when we switch to using Vault instead of Register.
@DeadlyScone
Assignable territories will likely be possible in an upcoming future release; we're still working out the details of how to best handle ownership-like permissions for specific players and such. And by "we", I mean almost entirely just Olof. :)
@supayoshi
Assuming the contents of that missing paste were repeated "removed for inactivity" log messages about the same player(s), that's a known minor issue which causes no problems beyond extraneous logging. The players are marked for deletion but not immediately deleted, and they are logged as being removed each time the inactivity check is run irrespective as to whether they're already marked for deletion or not.
@Megachin502
Planned.
@CTapblu
Try removing the individual permissions you don't want people to have, using the reomval method suggested by Scent_Tree.
@rockxz3
You'd need to provide more details about what you're after. You should be able to hook in and get just about anything you want/need for the other plugin, as long you know where to look.
@Crazdale
Read up a bit and you'll find that Register provides an interface for a large number of economy plugins including iConomy (it's by the author of iConomy, in fact), so by hooking into it we therefore don't need to come up with hooks for a bunch of different economy plugins ourselves. That's the idea anyway; Register is currently outdated and a bit buggy, so we're planning to switch to using Vault for the same functionality. Register is indeed currently required though.
As for your attitude: kindly piss off and don't ask for any more free support for this free plugin, thanks in advance. I'll not waste any more time responding to anything else you have to say.
@CTapblu
econEnabled IS NOT econIConomyEnabled, and econEnabled DOES NOT work with iConomy. It seems properties on massivecraft's website is out-dated, or perhaps, maybe just the plugin.
I'm just being an ass... but seriously.... why would you NOT create an option for iConomy by default when you are writing this plugin... who the hell uses Register?
@Crazdale
Line 209 in conf.json: "econEnabled": true
@Scent_Tree
May be u can tell me something else? Thx.
Wow, what's up with this? All I read is nags about reading through your help pages, which I have done over and over again, but in your help pages, I see an option for econiconomyenable.... and I cannot find this in the config for Factions 1.6.2..... WHERE IS ECONICONOMYENABLE?? Your website says it should be in the config and it IS NOT!
