What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)

- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Anyway you can go back through the plugin and recode the faction tags? It is almost impossible for other plugins to hook into it based on how you have designed this.

I'd install PEX 1.17 (i use MySQL) and Factions 1.6.2, but i can't remove perms "factions.kit.fullplayer" from default group... Pls help me, may be i don't know right syntex...

+ Maybe limit the players from the same IP to 3, instead of unlimited faction members on 1 IP, cus it gains false power.
Can you add a way to claim plots in safezones? or guide me in the direction of where i could find out how to do this?
Have just tried new update... yet still players not getting charged to claiming land.

Are there any plans in the works to make it so that instead of purely regenerating power over time, players can regenerate power by killing other players.
Occasionally having problems on my server when one faction attacks another, the defending faction often just goes into hiding rather than trying to fight back so that they can regenerate power.
Just a suggestion if I'm allowed to make them, beyond that I love the plugin.

Maybe your permission plugin of choice doesn't fully support newer parent->child permissions, meaning you need to set individual permissions instead of using our kit permissions? If not, sorry, I don't have time to walk you through the process of setting up or fixing permissions in your permission plugin of choice (or the built-in Bukkit handler).

im having same issues but with groupmanager and groupbridge also its ignoring that it cost money to /f create

As I'm tired of answering this question in detail over and over again, I'll simply answer: sorry, no. It doesn't work near enemies or in enemy territory, that should be sufficient.

Known issue, not a big deal, see here.
There seems to be a bug in the auto kick function in factions. It is spamming the same two people being kicked from their faction over and over in the console. They are being kicked doe to inactivity.
Hey guys .. got a problem.. factions is totaly ignoring premmissions.. got no premission for f create or f leave and players still can .. using lates PEX
hi Brettflan, I love your work, but for some reason, Im running Iconomy 6 and the latest Register(from october) and players still arent getting charged for claiming land etc.
Basically Factions isn't hooking into my iconomy and Register. When I put register into my server plugins, it didn't have any effect. Just wondering if you could help me out? <3

For 1.7 Brett is one of the new features to claim land for a certain radius for each faction to make it easier to set up each faction instead of just autoclaiming a whole bunch of land
Could you guys add the command /f autounclaim? I would like that, because its a pain having to go around to each specific chunk and doing /f unclaim.

How about adding a teleport delay when using /f home ?
Version 1.6.2 is now released.
For servers updating from older versions of Factions, you should use these commands to update your configuration:
f config territoryProtectedMaterials SOIL
f config territoryProtectedMaterialsWhenOffline SOIL
Please read the changelog here.
We should also be making an alpha release of 1.7.0 fairly soon. It has many new and improved features, but it does have a few existing features temporarily removed as they need to be reworked.
I will now try to answer any questions or bug reports posted after this, assuming of course that you are using 1.6.2 and sure the issue is occurring on it, and not an older release.
