This plugin allows the players to get the new Spawn Eggs from Minecraft 1.1 by throwing regular eggs at mobs. It is intended to be simple to set up and use. The plugin is open source and can be forked on github. If you make any changes, pull requests are appreciated.
Current features
- Configurable mob health limit.
- Respects animal protection plugins such as GriefPrevention
- Compatible with all trading plugins.
- Very simple, throw an egg at a mob and it will be turned into a spawn egg.
- Permissions support.
- Configurable catch chance.
- Configurable cost (vault support, or items).
- Explosion effects.
Installation and requirements
Vault is not required unless you intend to use it
Download the jar file and the configuration file will be generated on the first startup.

I think You should Keep it as it is, Just simply throw a egg at a mob and Pay for it I don't think its very Necessary To have health, etc Just to let You know And awesome Plugin man Really Help-full.

WorldGuard does not protect animals, and therefore it's unsupported. If you use a plugin to protect the animals EggCatcher will normally respect that.
Hi, I like this plugin but there is 1 thing i could not solve. I want to set item cost to 397.4 but if i set it it works like that: It needs 397 to catch but when you have 397(without .4) it works well (it uses item, Item has gone from the players inventory and catches the mob) But if you have 397.1 or .2 or .3 or .4 it doesnt work well (it uses item but "item is still in players inventory", but it catches the mob which means if 1 of my players get 397.1 (wither skull) he can use it as an INFINITY cost to catch monsters.) Also it is not configurable, I mean you can use both creeper head and skeleton head to catch a skeleton.. You should add support for items like X.1 X.2 X.3

Exactly if you make WG support, then this is really awsome plugin.
Can you make it so there is worldguard support. Because players can catch other peoples mobs in their region.

Hi, I'm using this plugin(1.21.1) on CraftBukit 1.4.5 R1.
So, when caught a BAT, it changed to Item named "Spawn" (it white dot's egg).
and it can't use Item...
other Animals and Mobs were caught normally.

There's no egg for zombie villagers that's why. I'm going to do the account thing as soon as I have some time. Otherwise if you know someone who knows java the sourcecode is available. But I'll get it done :)
So any ETA on the server account setting.
Yeah I know bigscary needs a bit of nagging. I suggest to keep trying.

Last time I checked there was a problem with GriefPrevention. I suggested the author to fix it but I have not gotten a reply.
