What is CreativeGates?
CreativeGates is a plugin that allows you to create teleportation gates without running a single command. The plugin does not impose design restrictions. Design the gate frame any way you like.
- Build a gate frame using any materials. It must however contain two emerald blocks (configurable).
- Name a clock with an anvil.
- Hit the inside of the frame with the clock
- Gates using the same clock name will connect to each other.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put CreativeGates.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- For advanced users only: Configure the MassiveCore aspects and multiverses using the commands.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_mconf/instance.json to your liking.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_conf@universe/instance.json to your liking.
- Configure permissions. CreativeGates only has two nodes.
Portal vs Water
CreativeGates can use either portal blocks or water blocks for portal content. You decide which to use in the "uconf".
For portal blocks to work without bugs you must open your server.properties and set allow-nether=false. This will disable the generation of the vanilla nether map and the vanilla nether portals. This is how we do it on MassiveCraft. You can add one, two or even three custom nether worlds using a world manager plugin later on.
For water blocks to work you don't need to do anything special. If you want the vanilla nether world and portals you probably want to change to water portals in the config. Otherwise players entering nether gates in the nether might exit through creative gates.

Sorry for my bad english, I'm French :(
Why do you have change all your plugins ? Factions change CreativeGates change and more...
Is there anyway to hook this with mcore/factionsplus to only allow people creating portals in faction territory?
I can not make a network of gates. The gates forum but they go no where. Need some help to get this to work. Also question. Can this work from one world to another world? right now i am just trying to get it to work in one world but would also like to use this to get to and from the creative world to survival world.
Greetings, it would be awesome if i could turn a gate on or off by a redstone signal. Push a button and activate the gate for a short moment. With a lever it would be on/off. Incoming travellers would either activate the gate shortly or you can use one of the tools to only allow incoming traffic if the gate is actually active.
With this you can achieve multiple things: 1. turn off that annoying sound 2. Make gates raidproof without putting them into small rooms (relating to massivecraft here)
Otherwise this is a really awesome plugin.
can i ask if i have a an server with portal i can updat this to water later? without repoping all portals?
Is there ANY way you can keep developing the original plugin where they just need identical frames? I think the new version where you need to name the clock is ridiculous. I use your plugin for everything on my servers. And, the new version is confusing to even ME! Im still running the one that doesn't require mcore and its working for 1.6.4. The simplicity of the plugin is what made it so amazing and user friendly. If I have to update, id have to find all my gates, and name it something different and risk someone finding out name. When i can just put bedrock into the frame and no one can make one like it. http://pastie.org/8434796 How am i supposed to go to all my players and tell them where their gates are? I will PAY to have the original to keep being updated.
@Beuteugeu
The plugin is dependent on MCore, which you don't seem to have installed. Take a look at http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/mcore/

Is i possible to remove the "Fireball/firecharge" sound when entering the portal? I currently am using the nether portals for teleportation.
Dennis
So, I'm using v.2.0.3 and my players cant use the gates, only OPs can, it's saying that they don't have permission?
It also isn't generating the folder "creativegates_mconf"
What is the Permissions?
I cannot change the portal into water. Could someone please help me?

Something Like That :D
@soma2002 You need to install the MCORE plugin. xD
@chichung0418
Seriously? It says "name the watch before creating a gate with it"
So the answer is: "Name a watch before creating a portal with it"
If you actually read the page you'll see that it it answers you there. Just put the watch in an anvil and name it...
help!the plugin say you must name the watch before creating a gate with it! What should I do ??
This video breaks it down simply on how to use this plugin. I was looking for good ones and couldnt find one. So, I made one myself. ENJOY!

@tabalougas
this already works, there is a couple ways to do this.
1. set a gamerule for that world /gamerule setflag spawn here (be where you want them to respawn in the world on death)
or
2. /gamerule RememberSpawn allow (this will take that player back to the same spot they left the world from)
