Minigames Framework, PvP, and Solo combat with limitless customization
NOTICE
For updated files, please use the BattleArena2 page. It has all of our updated files, and many of the issues that exist in the latest version here have been fixed through updates.
Default Competitions (all changeable)
- Arena: Fight with what is given to you in the config. You can't bring items in or out
- Skirmish: Bring in what you want to fight with, you take out whatever you pick up
- Battlegrounds: Winner is the highest kills after 1 minute. 4 teams may compete
- Colosseum: 4 teams against each other, last man standing wins
- FFA: last player/team left standing wins
- deathmatch: 2 minute event where if you die you respawn. Highest kills wins
Tournaments
- tourney: Pick a match type and do a single elimination tournament of that type.

Updating
This plugin checks for new bukkit release versions which can be disabled in the BattleArena/config.yml

Posted Dec 18, 2014Spent awhile configurating everything and setting up all the arenas and it works pretty much perfectly! Nice plugin, but one thing. When two people join a 1v1 ffa match, it waits in the queue forever, even after the 60 second countdown and class pick. I have two spawns set and only red and blue slots even allowed, what could be the cause of this?

it is updated to 1.7.9 ...including all previous Minecraft versions.

When he said 'mob arena support', I thought he was talking about hooking into the plugin http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/mobarena/ .And I was thinking to myself: "Why would we hook into MobArena ?" lol.
Me personally, I prefer plugins that focus on something... and do it very well. I don't really like plugins that try to do everything. When a plugin tries to do too much, it has the potential to become bloated & laggy. However, there is a category of plugins that is a happy medium: Modular & Extensible Plugins, like BattleArena.
Eventho, it's my personal opinion that Admins should use MobArena for PVE and BattleArena for PVP... BattleArena does give people the power to create their own types of Arenas: In this case, a mob-arena extension. Altho, creating such an extension seems like a waste of time when you could just use MobArena.

Don't be lazy, you can manage to create a mob arena easily with the tools BA provides, and with other custom mob modifier plugin. You just have to create a new arena where it's won by killing mobs or surviving the time, and add spawns with timers so they activete like 10s after the game started to change it's difficulty, it isn't very hard just try to do it.

BattleArena does not need to update to 1.8 because it's already compatible.
However, I will be updating BattleArena to support WorldGuard and WorldEdit v6.0.0
BattleArena v3.9.9 has partial support. I'll finish when I'm not sick anymore.

Those numbers are statistics from BattleTracker, so if you don't have BattleTracker it will stay default. [1250] would be a players rank on the server, and (0:0) would be their record (Wins:losses) for that arena type.
You can change almost all of the messages in BattleArena in your messages.yml file, located in the BattleArena directory in your plugins folder. If you don't have BattleTracker, you can remove those two fields in that file.
