NOTICE
For updated files, please use the BattleArena2 page. It has all of our updated files, and many of the issues that exist in the latest version here have been fixed through updates.
Default Competitions (all changeable)
- Arena: Fight with what is given to you in the config. You can't bring items in or out
- Skirmish: Bring in what you want to fight with, you take out whatever you pick up
- Battlegrounds: Winner is the highest kills after 1 minute. 4 teams may compete
- Colosseum: 4 teams against each other, last man standing wins
- FFA: last player/team left standing wins
- deathmatch: 2 minute event where if you die you respawn. Highest kills wins
Tournaments
- tourney: Pick a match type and do a single elimination tournament of that type.

Updating
This plugin checks for new bukkit release versions which can be disabled in the BattleArena/config.yml

Please do not just tell me the plugin is "not working". That gives me no information about your situation. Are you having errors on startup, will the plugin not load, are you having trouble getting arenas set up? I will be more than happy to help you, but you have to give me a little more info than "the plugin is not working".

Posted Dec 23, 2014Can someone tell me what permissions I need to give people so they can join a team on skirmish through a sign. I have a sign to join the red team or blue team and the only way i can get it to work is to set myself as OP.

I looked at your files... but I can't tell what's wrong. I do see an inconsistency for the YML key+value pairs... Where one file has values surrounded by single quotes, and the other one does not. This may or may not be an issue.
I think you server logs would have more information to tell what's going on... Like commands used, and possible errors.
Also, please link your arenas.yml
Also, if you have Skype, then it can be easier + faster to diagnosis issues via Skype screen share. I have helped many people this way.

Sorry man, I keep forgetting that my server setup is different than everyone else... The old log name was server.log... This is what mine is still called because I configured my server that way (with a log4j.xml file). Yes, i keep forgetting that it has changed to latest.log

Use a pastebin service, and link us the YML files that you changed. Also link the server.log
i'll take a look at them and see if I can find a problem there.
