VariableTriggers
Make your own plugin like features and more using VariableTriggers
This is a very powerful plugin that has unlimited potential. Create triggers that run lines of script when a player Clicks or Walks on a block (dirt, door, switch, trigger, torch, any block) or Create Event Triggers such as PlayerDeath , EntityDeath, BlockBreak, BlockPlaced, Join, Quit, Respawn, Interact and EntitySpawn that also run scripts. You can define Area Triggers and Command Triggers as well. You can use Dynamic Object variables and conditional IF and ELSE statements in the scripts. You can run any command that a player or OP can run and many speacial built-in commands to Teleport, Spawn Entities, Play Effects Visual or Sound, Set Blocks, Toggle Blocks, Check Players Heath and much more!. The scripts are executed on their own threads to take the strain off of the main server thread.
Is it possible to find the player name based on a var?
such as i want to search through the $<playername>.var for one that matches the str foo bar and return the playername in which created it?
not a big deal just a thought for the character cards i added in
yes it is
Is 1.1.4 compatible with R.4.0?
17 Likes on Curse. I had hoped since I put in so much effort on this plugin that there would be more of you than this to show their appeciation by clicking the Like on Curse
http://www.curse.com/server-mods/minecraft/variabletriggers
Well if its to hard to go to Curse and click the Like You can always Donate to show your appreciation. Your donations will go far in keeping me motivated to maintain and add new features to VariableTriggers.
oh right...addstr would be easier...i was tired so i did this
etc lol
@Trouvo
Not sure I understand, but will try to expalind .
You should check <cmdargcount> to see how many args were typed.
If you need them to type two args with the command then test
/command blah blah blah <cmdarg4> whould be an empty "" nothing there <cmdargcount> would be 3
@SETSTR $foo.bar <cmdarg1>
@ADDSTR $foo.bar <cmdarg2> -extra space before <cmdarg2>
@ADDSTR $foo.bar <cmdarg3> -extra space before <cmdarg2>
Now $foo.bar = blah blah blah
Not a problem, thank you lex, i will go ahead and script based on that, also if it is something small, would it be possible that if (i just woke up hope i say this right), i have it calling more <cmdarg:arg> than were given that it returns " " (blank/empty/null) when called instead?
For example when i had tested and found out the 4 limit, it placed <cmdarg5> <cmdarg6> etc in my @PLAYER message, so instead (gah tired confusing myself even)
@SETSTR $foo.bar <cmdarg1> etc - 10
/command blah blah blah blah
@PLAYER $foo.bar returns blah blah blah blah
instead of returning blah blah blah <cmdarg4> <cmdarg5> etc
@Trouvo Amoment of short sightedness on my part. I'll have to correct on an update. will leave the existing <cmdarg1> ,2,3,4 in place but will add <cmdarg:arg> arg being the number you want.
@jorisk322 Have plans for this if I get motivated for it.
A time trigger would be awesome. Like a trigger that executes your script when the world's at 2000 ticks or something. Or every 2000 ticks. :D Awesome plugin. I downloaded it to make 1 thing I had in my head, but now new ideas are popping into my head all the time.
....why are the command args limited to 4? or even limited for that matter? such as using it to get a str of information that contains more than 4 words/args
@lexlaiden
Honestly I think you deserve more than that, so expect more from me in the future. thanx and good luck
@Ronzi3
Thanks for the pizza man! You don't know what that means to me.
"Give a man a fish and he eats for a day teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime"

It's one of my main plugins. It's awesome, like Bukkit API without learning java. You can write scripts with simple language and make your servers awesome.
Hey guys common I have posted a Help Doc in the User Help Docs section were we as users can contribute to help others understand how to use this GREAT plugin. If you already understand then post a section

@Byamarro I see. well I have talked about a chat trigger and i think this is what your wanting I am almost done with /command triggers I may add chat but not sure when. I am trying to take a short break from VT to work on another thing I have. It took someone to donate to get me to go ahead with /command triggers
@Joxiscraft
