I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
Name | ID | Description |
---|---|---|
Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

I have been playing around with autocraft, and while i like your sign-controls better, what really struck me about autocraft was that the ships were a lot faster. is there any way you could speed up the calculations with yours so that they can move more rapidly? Also, It would be really nice if the allowed blocks were configurable so that we could choose what was allowed on an airship. I really like your system you have for the amount of wool required: autocraft airships are just required to have 40 wool total. the 60 percent thing is MUCH better for realistic airships. Thanks again for a great plugin, hope to see the update soon!

two stone or wooden slabs on top each other results a block that is not supported from the Ships Mod! So THIS are the obstacles! Is there a way to add these Blocks zu the sort of airship blocks?

Hi,
inspired from your mod, i've build my first airship. i hope you keep on this mos, it's an amazing idea to navigate a ship with sign-controls. for the moment it is not really running on my ship, perhaps you have the helping hint where the problem could be:
the hole ship has build with: - stone steps - wooden steps - torches :) - white wool - glass - glass pane - netherrack (+ fire) - wooden stairs - fences - fence gates - signs - cauldron
The problem is: i can't move the ship because and became the error info: "there are obstacles on the course" but as you can see in die images, there are no obstacles :)
Any ideas?
Thx and please keep on :) i saw the zeppelin mod on youtube, but it's only for singleplayer mode, but your mod seems to be better, i hope it'll work.

Doesn't it work with 1.2.5? mine works fine with it. or at least it loads and everything when i start the server...
and EggMcDragon: is your world called "world"? I got similar results before i learned that the world had to be called "world".

Hi, great Plugin, but on my Server it don´t work. I thinks there is a problem with Towny. The fuel is getting empty but the ship don´t move.
Pleas can anybody help me?

@eldarstorm: I just went into my server folder and changed the name of my world's folder to "world". then i went into the server properties file and changed the world that it was going to play to "world". I don't know if you can do this, but it worked for me. be sure to back up your world file first though, i almost lost mine.
At least you can use it, our world is named something different and our user base has been anticipating it as well.
@Qx2: Can you post the svn or something so those of us with different named worlds can do a quick compile with a different world name?

Sorry, I had a lot of work. And now I'm going on vacation. In 2 weeks back, and take care of the plugin.
What happened to "at the end of the month"? its april now. i really want this plugin for my server, and my friends are anticipating it, but we can't use it reliably because of the falling thing. Please update it like you were talking about...

Sweet plugin, i was wondering if it would be possible to add the ability to make airplanes out of wool?

The current version he has is hard coded to use the world "world". He is supposed to be releasing the Multiverse compatable version.

I Had The Same Issue And I Read Somewhere In Here That It Needed To Have The World Be Named "World". No Idea Why But I Loaded Up A New World With The Name World And It Ran Perfectly With All The Same Mods I Had Before On The Other World.
