I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
Name | ID | Description |
---|---|---|
Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

Already use protocollib for own plugins. No unsupported blocks and, no mobs. Just me. And yes it is running craftbukkit (I'll try running as just bukkit.)

Qx2 you should let moosemister update this if you can't. Moosemister, remember that there is a lua to bukkit interpreter plugin.

i love your plugin, there is nothing like allowing everyone build there own flying machines, ran on fuel for my server however,
it seems like you seem busy and can not update this plugin in time, i would like to help by having the source code for this plugin and update the plugin to keep it in date, update errors as long as you allow me to, each time
i currently only know lua and html programming language, however when i join collage i will need to know java, and this would be perfect for me to test my knowledge.
when i learn java, i will talk to you again, PM or message me here if your interested. if not, i may fight you in this plugin world.
this is a small threat to ether update your plugins more frequently, or allow me to help you and your comunity

oh just remembered, this error could be to do with a error in a setup of the ship (would only come in a craftbukkit that this plugin is not designed with)
what are you doing when this error comes up? eg. are you pressing the wheel sign? is there anything in the way? do you have unsupported blocks on board? what mobs of you have on board? eta

1.6.2 bug another plugin may help (probably will not) try something like http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/protocollib/
again it will probably will not work but its worth a shot
p.s you properly will already have this installed, a lot of plugins need it to work
whenever anyone uses a ship, nothing happens and it pops this error message.

ok reading a lot of comments, people are having the same problem. 1) 'the plugin is not working at all' 2) 'this plugin is buggy' 3) 'lag'
all 3 of these i will tell you how to fix, or the problem
1) this could be many problems with your setup of a server, because i have never had this error, im only going to say its a bug with 1.6.2 minecraft and a 1.5.2 plugin, it could also be how you are installing a plugin.
if you are sure you are installing the plugin correctly (putting the .jar file in the plugins folder) then a error will popup on the console, if someone could grab that error then show it to me i could tell you how to fix it (probably)
2) because this plugin is not build for minecraft 1.6.1+ and today servers are running 1.6.2, expect some bugs. however it should still work
3) in the config, there is a option saying "week server" set that to true, it will change how the plugin works when moving the ships to a faster (for the server) method (not sure what the down side is to this)
it could also be to do with the size of the ship (larger ships have more blocks to delete then re-spawn in the new pos) so make the size of the ship smaller.
lastly it could be again to do with the bugs that formed from 1.6.1 and 1.6.2, with plugins made for 1.5.2

for me to understand errors that you guys have even more, i would need the server.log file from your server root (the location with craftbukkit.jar file)
this will tell me all the errors, what plugin you use, your craftbukkit i assure you i delete everything else, that is not important to me (e.g players, player commands, eta)
p.s. the server log is a copy of your console, but in text mode instead of live text. it is 100% up to you if you allow me to see it or not, i don't care if you get rid of anything you do not wish me to see

i would assume so, from what i can see of BSpace, all it is a world gen plugin, ships does not care on what world type it is in.
p.s. i did see that BSpace does contain spout features, if one of those spout features is added blocks, those new blocks will not work on ships
p.s.s i also saw that there is a oxygen perk on the plugin, im afraid you will need to find ways round that
im just here to help, i have worked with bukkit for almost a year, and dealt with over 300 problem, however, im sorry but i do not test things for people. test it yourself

both of you, make sure you are filling in all the 'needs' for the sign to create the ship fill in the sign like this
[ships] <airship/ ship/ marsship> [empty line] [empty line]
the default message for a error on the sign is that you do not have permission, even if you do have permission

It is for me...
Great plugin! But could you please make it so that I can have beds and slabs on my ships? It would be really handy for me because I always like making cabins in my ships and also slabs help a lot with making them look pretty.
need help i downloaded ships and put it in my plugin and started my server but doesnt work pls help
Fixed it. Moderators were putting '[airship]' on the second line instead of just 'airship'.
I'm running 1.6.2, I've set permissions yet it still tells me that I don't have permission for this action. This is through PermissionsEx.
I've got a duplicate copy of my Bukkit server running on my old PC with 1.6.2 and I'm also seeing the lag. I'm sure he'll be getting an update out sometime soon...he's good like that :)
UPDATE I went back and tested a little more. I'm not so sure my airships are lagging. They are fairly large and have always been a tad sluggish to begin with. My small ship (boat) doesn't seem to have any problems at all.

Well, The plugin works with 1.6.2, but it causes some major problems with my Other plugins. I wouldn't recommend using this with 1.6.2 until it updates. Great plugin though, keep up the good work, I'll be sure to download the plugin when it updates :3
Can someone please help? When I put the .jar into my plugins folder it will not execute with the running of the server, even on admin run.
