I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
Name | ID | Description |
---|---|---|
Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

I made the ships following the instructions, and yet none of the signs aside from the license sign work, I'm clicking them and they don't do anything at all. Please help.

Whenever I go up or turn with the ship, all the signs disappear

So after what feels like a month of testing I have finally found out why Ships 5.1 is not keeping the inventoy after a move inside blocks.
The issue affects all ships versions that are running on 1.13 or better including the unreleased Ships 6 and its a major issue for Ships.
The issue comes down to Spigot/Bukkit itself. Technical details on what's happening are at the bottom of this post.
A fix is currently unknown and a bug post by myself will be going on spigot very soon.
Technical issue:
I tested this with a Furnace. When inputting a item into a furnace using the bukkit api through org.bukkit.block.Furnace.getInventory().setItem(int, Itemstack) and then printing out the contents of all items inside that furnace, it shows the Item inside. After updating the blockstate using the update() function and then printing the contents of each slot, the result is then null. Even forcing the update by using update(true) still results in the update failing.
This could be to do with the fact that Spigot now use BlockStates as snapshots instead of the live tile entity.
If you have any information on a way around this, a 1.13 new api way of doing things or what im doing wrong (You can see my code on the new Ships Github page which will be displayed soon) then please say where im going wrong.
In the mean time I will work on the Sponge edition of the new Ships
So, I've jsut loaded this into my 1.13 server, and i'm getting "An internal error has occured while attempting to preform this command"

But now my only issue left is this. Something went wrong, maybe a custom [API] MovementMethod. (MOVE_BACKWARD)

I need Help please.
I built a big Ship and i was trying to sign it with [ships] ship and then he name of the ship and i didnt tell me anything went wrong. so when i tried to sail with the [move] sign it said there is wool in the way. i was confused and looked if the wool from my sails was displayed as a part of my ship. and no it wasnt. i dont understand how the sign is not recognizing my sails consisting of whool. please help.
