I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
Name | ID | Description |

Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

Hi i am getting this glitch a lot it keeps saying "Ships sign can not be found" i have looked though the comments and you said to do /ships sign track 10 i did that but it still does not work so can you help with it?

Good news everyone:
Thouse who are waiting for the Sponge version of Ships to release. You don't have long to wait. Here is Ships -s 6.0.0.0|prerelease 1 working on Sponge
This version of ships needs a few touches here and there before i release it to the public, but once it is you can find it on Ore and the Sponge Forums. You will also be able to get a direct link to the ore page right at the top of this page.
Wait sponge? Whats that?
Sponge was first introduced as a alternative to bukkit plugins when the takedown happened for bukkit (why everyone now refers to bukkit as spigot). And its goal was to create a open source mod manager that worked with forge.
Since then it has got a few more goals including my favourite, the need for plugin developers to not use NMS code. What that meant was plugin developers would not need to use NMS code at all in their plugins meaning you could just upgrade your sponge without any issues.
What will happen to the bukkit version of ships?
At the moment, the version name will have a -b (meaning bukkit) in it but not a whole lot else.
Eventually the sponge ship version will get all the updates first to ships and most (if not all) of those features eventually coming to bukkit a few days-months later.
So whats the other benefits with ships if i move to sponge?
Apart from the quicker updates you will be granted access to the exclusive ships addons that include smooth moving ships.
This is exclusive due to the fact it is impossible to do it on the bukkit platform without nms (something i will never use). Please also note that the smooth moving is a planned example and has not been programmed. So this may never be released
I'm on 1.11.2, this plug-in works good, except the"ship" vesseltype that tells me that it is unknown type... how could I correct that?

Ships 6 news:
Spigot has released the new 1.12 update and it requires Java 8. This means all users who wish to use 1.12 with plugins must update to java 8 (if you haven't done so already) otherwise the server with crash with a Major.Minor error.
Please also note that Ships 6 bukkit version will be released on Java 6 compatible (Java 7 and 8 will work too) for those who wish to use Ships on 1.11.2 and lower who don't wish to update their java (for some reason). However Ships 6 Bukkit will eventually force users to use Java 8 and will take advantage of Java 7 and 8 features. Meaning you won't be able to use it unless you are running Java 8 on any server version
Ships 6 alpha 1.0.1 is now out.
This is the next update towards the final version of ships 6.0.0.0. this version has many new features including OpenLoader, more ships 5 support and some stability for the plugin as well.
Autopilot has not been enabled yet as it has more then a few bugs

If you have been paying attention to the Ships-2nd-gen > Bukkit-Developer github page, you will see a huge update. This is part of the Ships 6 update. This update fixes the issue where Ships split in half or worse when moving, it also fixes the Ships 6 movement completely, this means that Ships, no matter what size they are, will move without loosing any blocks at all.
It is also using the DataVessel code instead of the LoadableShip (that has been in Ships 6 Alpha and lower versions).
This version of Ships currently is not released for download at all, due to the fact the OpenLoader part of Ships is not compete yet, as the OpenLoader will save all the Ships as all ship types and attempt to load thouse saved ships.
This will be eventually released to the public later on, as a public alpha later on, but hopfully soon.
Please also note that the new code should fix the auto pilot issue due to the fact the issue with that was that the ship split in half and I belive it was down to the StoredMovement code that the Ships now use to move.
i would personally prefer to see ships6 get out of alpha and see if i will ever be able to use this plugin rather than watch youtube tut. videos.
