Runecraft
Runecraft is a gameplay modification for SMP, that adds magic to the game without any commands. Runecraft is the longest running Minecraft mod, dating back to the Alpha days. Runecraft boasts over 120 runes and is still under active development. Everything you need in one, immersive, magic plugin.
Magic is done through the form of "runes", significant shapes of materials laid out in the actual game world. These runes can create unique short-term tool enchants, teleporters, hidden walls/passageways, and even the ability to create mobile teleporting bases.
- Player built simple Teleporters that use unique combinations of blocks to identify destinations
- Specific enchantments for dealing with natural hazards (lava, floods, falling gravel)
- Magic blocks that flip between two blocks when you activate them, or reveal secret passages
- Redstone compatibility: allowing runes to be activated by redstone signals
- Multi-world support: all features are completely compatible with multiple-world servers
- Commandless setup: Runecraft is designed for minimum hassle in configuring it. plugin and go!
- Easy configuration: it's simple to disable a rune entirely, or a rune per person.
- Optional permissions compatibility
- Requires no client modification
Runecraft prides itself on its immersive nature, with no need for any slash commands. Everything can be done in-game by players, constructing the runes to create the effects they're looking for. Runecraft is an extremely popular addon for roleplay, PVP, and small servers because of it's out of the box ability to just be installed and start running, and covering a variety of pseudo-administrative and gameplay mechanics from an entirely in game point of view.

Can you please make the 1.6.4 version available somewhere? I need it on my server :-)
I'm glad y'all got a 1.7 build ready so fast, I'm curious though, what are the thoughts on Runecraft 3.0? Is there any progress, or is it just a matter of keeping up with updates and bugfixes in the short term? As always, thank you for your work on this, and good luck with the future of it!
@Favorlock
It sure is.
@Sadorhael
Can you make the build for 1.6.4 that you made available somewhere else? I'm not ready to upgrade my server to 1.7.2 now, but I really want Runecraft...
@Ctri
Awesome, as usual, I eagerly await this great plugin. Can't live without it :D
@Ctri
So you can´t make a jenkins server? it´s just a suggestion :D
Thought i'd let you guys know, submitted a 1.7.2 build today for Bukkit's approval. It's mostly functional, though it hasn't had the rigorous testing a normal build will have had, so be cautious of using it.
Feedback and bug reports in any existing/known functionality would be most appreciated, and once they're all found/squashed, I'll post about the new content on my usual youtube channel
Cheers for your patience :)
@Ctri
Well, that reduces my confidence in the bukkit team... I don't suppose you would be willing to release it as an unofficial build somewhere else? It doesn't feel right to let a good build go to waste just because of a readability issue.
@Sadorhael
The 1.6.4 build I submitted was rejected by the bukkit team for being Obfuscated :( Whilst technically untrue, it is quite hard to read so I'm not going to nit-pick over it.
It may be possible to un-port the 1.7.2 build to 1.6.4 once it's finished, but it's not something I can come up with straight away :\
@Ctri
Thank you. Will this also work with 1.6.4 (please)?
Thank you for your hard work on updating this C'tri

Update for all: contuing work on the next build with 172 compatibility
@Sadorhael
in brief: the demands of RL have stolen much of my time, but I am getting there. Thanks for keeping interested in the plugin :)
Still waiting for an update to CB 1.6.4. Any news?
Any news on updates for Runecraft? I've held back my server upgrade until 1.6.4 runecraft releases.
When do you think you will have Runecraft updated for Bukkit 1.6.4? I would love to have this plugin back on my server :-)
Don't work with bukkit 1.6.4 =/ please update
Any speculation when engraving will be back? Or something else to bind a enchantment on a single tool?
Mydayyy
Using craftbukkit-1.6.2-R0.1.
@StanoMalek
This is due to the True Name rune. Using a rune while wearing the head of another player will activate the rune on them. You will need to disable it in disabled-runes.txt before it will stop.
