Runecraft
Runecraft is a gameplay modification for SMP, that adds magic to the game without any commands. Runecraft is the longest running Minecraft mod, dating back to the Alpha days. Runecraft boasts over 120 runes and is still under active development. Everything you need in one, immersive, magic plugin.
Magic is done through the form of "runes", significant shapes of materials laid out in the actual game world. These runes can create unique short-term tool enchants, teleporters, hidden walls/passageways, and even the ability to create mobile teleporting bases.
- Player built simple Teleporters that use unique combinations of blocks to identify destinations
- Specific enchantments for dealing with natural hazards (lava, floods, falling gravel)
- Magic blocks that flip between two blocks when you activate them, or reveal secret passages
- Redstone compatibility: allowing runes to be activated by redstone signals
- Multi-world support: all features are completely compatible with multiple-world servers
- Commandless setup: Runecraft is designed for minimum hassle in configuring it. plugin and go!
- Easy configuration: it's simple to disable a rune entirely, or a rune per person.
- Optional permissions compatibility
- Requires no client modification
Runecraft prides itself on its immersive nature, with no need for any slash commands. Everything can be done in-game by players, constructing the runes to create the effects they're looking for. Runecraft is an extremely popular addon for roleplay, PVP, and small servers because of it's out of the box ability to just be installed and start running, and covering a variety of pseudo-administrative and gameplay mechanics from an entirely in game point of view.

anyone having problems like teleporting in or under bedrock? or could this just be a bukkit build being buggy?
@Amuxix
No. Faith is above sea level.
@mm75 Is the faith close to the bedrock? Like the lowest layer is at height 4 or less? If it is that is the problem, you can't move it.
@mm75 Redemption is currently not working.
Can anyone help?
Also another problem on my server is the salvation and redemption runes. i have them enabled: salvation redemption Once i use the salvation rune on a faith island it dissapears and is saved. but when i make the redemption rune with the same signature it says redemtion accepted but nothing happens and the file is still .faith and not .faithed
EDIT: Problem has fixed itself. somehow.. Please disregard.
Can you help with my ftp rune? when i activate it it says Faith Transfer Portal used. This spell may not remove materials from the mortal plan... It is made from bedrock and i have put this at the top in the disabled-runes.txt in my server: enable multiworld travel enable multiworld ink multiworld ink 7 MultiGroupInk 7
However i still cannot go to different worlds and it is being very annoying since it DID work for a few days. What can i do? I am on version 2.18 on bukkit #2978. Any help is appreciated, thanks
EDIT: The enable multiworld travel and so on is properly formated, each option on a new line but for some reason my comments here are never formated the way i want them to be.

Well, I just restarted my server and everything still works...
@UltrafaceGuy
As far as I can see, Runecraft thinks all horizontal teleporters are "facing down" when loading them (direction 0). But since teleporters which are activated from below still teleport you on top of them, I think simply removing those 3 lines of code should be pretty much the solution.
I have the same teleporter issue as well. In my experience with this issue, the problem only arises after Runecraft has been reloaded, and the teleporters are loaded again. So long as you never restart the server or do /reload, they seem to work just fine.
Hopefully this helps you more quickly and easily resolve the issue! Good Luck!
@Siguza
We tried that at our server last weekend. It made zero difference, I'm afraid. =\
@Siguza
compile with what, I'm trying to recompile with javac but it's just coming back with errors
OK, NOW I'm seeing the teleporter issue.
I had an issue with bukkit world names. Apparently bukkit doesn't like world names with periods in them, so after restart 'new1.7.2' didn't load properly. I WAS able to import it, and even after stopping, renaming the world directory to "new172" runecraft still amazingly got the magic.dat "id" number correct! (Very pleased with that, BTW)
However, now my waypoint takes me to the closest empty space below the waypoint. Which is right above bedrock, instead of on the plains above. When I plugged the empty space (so it's now a solid column under the waypoint down to bedrock) I got teleported to y=1.0000 and suffocated!
Bummer. Maybe if I destroy and re-activate the waypoint?
Yes, re-activating the waypoint fixed it. Funny, though. I removed the center block, and teleported to it OK. It was only on the second attempt that I got the "way is barred from the other side" message. I was then able to replace the central block, and right-click it to re-establish the waypoint. Since then it's been working OK.
Although I need to go back to the waypoint in my central world and re-activate it. Again.
EDIT: Confirmed that behavior without changing anything about the world. Simply stopping and restarting the server causes me to appear below the waypoint. re-activating the waypoint doesn't fix it unless you destroy it first. After damaging the waypoint, I can teleport to it once. trying a second times results in the "way is barred" message, at which point I can re-activate it and it's fixed.
Chunk loading still isn't working.
I have a waypoint buried in the floor. If I'm under it looking up, my coords are 182.47, 58, 257.5
Every so often it gives a "way has been barred from the other side" message when we target it. I then have to us a "/" command to teleport to it, climb underneath, and click on it again. At which point it works fine until the next time. It doesn't happen every time, but it does happen about every time we restart the server.
Which is often enough that I carved a room underneath the floor, and supported the four blocks of gravel (the signature) with torches so that I could easily reactivate it. But since it's the "Central worlds waypoint" and leads to the multi-world teleportation grid, it's a real issue when it goes out. It's not like you can walk between worlds.
On the same note, it's really annoying to get a "this signature has been used elsewhere" message on a damaged waypoint. Could we check to make sure the waypoint is still intact before giving that message? It would make moving a waypoint much more intuitive. Just mine out the old one, build it somewhere else, and away you go!
I'm using runecraft 2.18. "git-Bukkit-1.7.2-R0.2-b2974jnks"
Hear are plugins:plugins/Catacombs.jar plugins/Multiverse-Core-2.5.jar plugins/PermissionsBukkit-2.0.jar plugins/WorldGuard.jar
plugins/DeadMansChest.jar plugins/Multiverse-Inventories-2.5.jar plugins/runecraft_2.17.2_dev_43__172_.jar
plugins/Giant Trees.jar plugins/Multiverse-NetherPortals-2.4.jar plugins/WorldEdit.jar
I managed to fix the teleporter problem:
Unzip the runecraft.jar, open net/cerberusstudios/llama/runecraft/Runecraft_MAIN.java, remove lines 5985 to 5987 and recompile the file.
Updated my server to 2.18 and am also having the same issue with teleports. It appears that you teleport below the waypoint block, instead of on top of it.
I installed 2.18 yesterday afternoon. Thank you for all the work you've put in to it.
We've encountered a couple of bugs, one has been in at least since 2.17.1, which is when you use the engraver rune, you get the following message: The Engraver rune fizzles. Perhaps it's broken at the moment.
This occurs both on a newly created Engraver rune and an existing one.
The second, and more alarming one, was with the teleporter. When we first installed yesterday everything worked just fine. We came back to play today and the teleporter's are (most of the time) off by some amount. They land consistently lower than they should, which in at least one case meant being teleported out of the world with a teleporter that should have been at ground level.
Thank you again for all the great work, keep it up.
@Sadorhael
ya just use 1.6.2
Hi, I play on a server that has recently updated to 1.7.2. Runecraft is installed (Yay), but there is a problem with the teleports. Problem: After teleporting, you sometime teleport underground/in-bedrock. It is totally random when it happends - that is how it seems to me. Also I noticed when it does that, you are usually teleported the opposite side of the waypoint.
Like this:
XSX
XWX
XTX
X = emty/dirt, W = waypoint, T = where you were teleported, S = where you are suppose to go.
P.S. I will try to get some pics of this happening.
Thanks for updating!!!
I really don't want to be a hassle or anything, but have you heard anything from bukkit about your 1.7.2 submission? It's been a week since you submitted it. I assume since it's not up on here, it hasn't been approved? Just curious, no rush seeing as bukkit still has had only one "major" dev build out. I really appreciate you still working on this!
@Sadorhael
It looks like he already did. I found a link to it in the comments on the minecraft forum page. However, it looks like there have been some problems with it so don't get your hopes up just yet.
Also, I know you really want to be able to use it on your 1.6.4 server (I do too) but I'm pretty sure that Ctri already understands that. Asking him to post it over and over again won't help.
