Realistic Backpacks
Realistic Backpacks is a plugin not similar to the other backpack/inventory extending plugins, but a unique experience. Backpacks are represented by a configurable item, not virtual commands. They also will give realistic features of what a backpack would give upon a user in real life, including slowed movement, increased need for hunger, and others. Of course, all of these features are customizable and can be turned off. If you just want backpacks that are opened via items and not commands and nothing else, then this plugin is also for you.
Features:
- Full customization of almost all features
- Lightweight as possible
- Flatfile and MySQL support
- Backpacks are items, not virtual commands

Features that involve an economy require an economy plugin and Vault.

@Roshanbo82
it hasnt been approved by bukkitdev moderator yet. be patient - we want the devs to check plugs. helps keep us safe from code that could harm our servers, an prob other things. thank slayr288 for at least updating it and telling us. he already said he was busy. shouldnt be more than a few days if not 48hrs before we see it up. just chill like the rest of us.
K 48hrs was kinda pushing it i think. reason for this taking so long would probably be due to the fact that bukkit is getting spammed in a way with devs updating there plugs. so it will take time to check over each one.
Where can I download the new version now? I've used this for a donor perk and they really miss there backpacks. I'm on spigot 1.7.2
@zachrywilsn
Working on it
Edit: Just uploaded the new version, read the change log carefully.
1.7.2? just wodering, i wanna let my donors know.
Could you possibly make it so the backpack's inventory is item specific? Otherwise, backpacks just act like enderchests. Thanks!
@deekondvg
I can't seem to reproduce that issue with the latest version.
Ok so I found a conflicting plugin that allows players to continually dupe items.
ECP (Enderchest Plus)
If you click on the enderchest with a backpack in hand, It replaces your back pack with the enderchests layout, items, and slot #. Openig the backpack again still opens the enderchest and players are able to continually throw out the items and dupe them.
This being said I have to disable this on my server til' it is fixed :C
I hope you fix this soon, it seems some other Chest GUI plugins also conflict with the plugin.
@slayr288
What a pitty, could be awesome to make some different backpacks but you can equip only one, having to drop your old backpack before pick the new one... u.u
@ihton
Yes, but it would require re-doing the way the plugin works.
@IcariaBui
You can do that already by giving different ranks permissions for making/buying certain backpacks.
@ihton
Similar to http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/backpack/ makes it so that different ranks can have different slot amounts.
Is it possible to add an option to let users have just ONE backpack and no more than that?
@p82183645
Explain in more detail please?
When continuous through two pressure plates, resulting in a realistic copy backpack items.
@slayr288
Yea, 1.5.4 seems much better! Thanks so much.
@Wonkee
Oh wow...
Fixed in v1.5.4, haven't tested extensively.
You will have to remove the line which contains the corrupt backpack data for it to work again with that player.
Thanks for the fixes! One of my favorite plugins.
Edit: Just found a new issue in the latest version. http://puu.sh/5piJj.png If you right-click to open a backpack and happen to click a location where you can place the chest, the backpack contents completely disappears. This happened with every backpack that I clicked on a block with.
database after it happens, each bugged backpack has "i0001800000500000000" for an inventory http://puu.sh/5pjbA.png
@slayr288 Ok thanks :D
@Papotronia
It will when bukkit releases 1.7.2.
Hello, fist of all... Such a fantastic plugin... Now, does it work in 1.7.2?
@chakyl
Post your config, since it is most likely a config issue.
@rodeyseijkens
I've pushed my most current code to GitHub.
I did pull your request, but it made me realize the blacklist/whitelist wasn't what I wanted. So, I re-did it and added the option to block specific types of the items.
