OtherDrops
Make anything drop anything, anyhow!
Minecraft 1.7 features (click)!!
OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Help Wanted
Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.
Thanks
Many thanks to these people who helped with OtherDrops:
- Cyklo: creator of the original OtherBlocks. OtherDrops is a continuation of Cyklo's original OtherBlocks (2011) plugin.
- Celtic Minstrel: many code commits and a major overhaul of the code moving into version 2.0. Moved on to create DropFactory.
- Rofang: major update of OtherDrops documentation.
- RugRats13: lots of testing and some documentation.
- Faldonboy & Steelsouls: currently maintaining and improving the documentation.
- CommodoreAlpha: community support on the comments/forum, assisting with documentation.
Many long nights are spent improving OtherDrops so if you like it please consider a donation to my coffee fund :)
- OtherDrops uses Metrics for anonymous usage stats (learn more).
@CrunchingPotato
I think you could format it like:
for a version that doesn't let people just mine one or a few stone blocks to infinitely get Rubies out of them without losing the stone, this will only drop either a stone block or Ruby or you could do:
for a more exploitable version. I tested both and they work for me. Sorry that this is coming probably much later than you need.
Any ideas why my custom mob drops would not be working at all? Monsters only seem to be dropping their default drops, regardless of how I setup any custom drops for them, and no errors are coming up in-game or the console. All of the custom block drops I've tried have worked just fine - it's just the mobs giving me trouble. Custom biomes couldn't affect this, right?
I'm using version 2.8b.582 in MC/Spigot 1.9.2, here's an example of a drop I'm trying to run:
Also I don't know if "PLAYER" is a valid enough tool to detect any means that a player can directly damage a mob or not, but even the drops not tied to those conditions aren't working anyways.
PLEASE RESPOND ASAP
Hello, and I own a towny server with some custom stuff. So, on my server I have came up with an idea that when you break stone, you will get one of the custom ingots/ores that I am adding to my server. -examples: -Copper -Ruby -Manymore (They have custom names with color) -And with those, you can craft the type of tools, armor, and more. Well, what I am wondering is how can I make it so when you are breaking stone there is a 1% chance of getting an enchanted brick with unbreaking I and the name is &4Ruby Ingot? Please respond to this question asap.
@boushwa
In order to get new lines on the lore you would add a " ; " . For example:
- drop: STICK@!DURABILITY#10&6&lWand of Icor;&8[VENDER DROP]; ;&2&lFrom the viscera you find &6<he Wand of Icor&2&l
If you want a blank line in the lore you would add "; ;" .
I am getting a error however I am using 1.9

Anyone know of a way to create a new line of text in a dropped item's lore? I've tried pipes and I've tried \n but neither work.
I'm curious if anybody else is having the issue I just reported here; https://github.com/Zarius/Bukkit-OtherBlocks/issues/396
Or if anybody has been able to fix said issue.
Edit: I was able to get it working properly by forking PDevil's edits on Git.
Anyone know how I would go about making the unbreaking enchantment work on a block which has a custom drop? On my server, stone drops stone, and I have this so far:
But there's a chance that using unbreaking 3 will give the default drop of cobblestone (probably because there's a window between the two "chance" parameters). I feel like my way is too bloated. Is there an easier way? Because it seems custom drops makes enchantments like unbreaking useless.
How can I add data values to blocks in the 1.7.10 version?
Hey, I don't know how it works but every time a player seems to kill a mob. I would keep getting a message about the item they would receive on their end.
MobName: - drop: command: /$ cratekeys give %p Legendary 1 chance: 1% message: "&dYou have found a Legendary Key!"
@BooBear1973
Use this:
HORSE:
- drop:
money: -20
message: "&2&l[GYPSY-BOT]&f: You have been fined $20.00 for killing a horse!"
Hello there. I'm having issues setting a penalty to players that kill horses. Here is how I am running it.
HORSE:
- drop: default
- drop: MONEY
quantity: -20
message: "&2&l[GYPSY-BOT]&f: You have been fined $20.00 for killing a horse!"
Everything works fine with the message and the default drop, but it doesn't take the money out of the player account.
I have no idea what I'm doing incorrectly. Can anyone give me some guidance?
Beetroots and beetroot seeds dont register as objects in the current dev version.
@omgitsbob12
Seems like not.
Still getting errors related to arrows on the 1.9 dev build, will this be updated?
@Coltslayer
Your primary issue is the formatting in your file. You need a <space> after the ':' in your parameters, example:
tools: ANY_SWORD or drop: GOLD_INGOT
Also, take note that "Tools: ANY" is a defaulted value. You do not need to add the Tools parameter unless it is being set to something other than "ANY".
@Awsmpossum1313
ZariusT provided a link to GitHub further down, the link to the 1.9 dev build is at the top of the GitHub page:

@Coltslayer
Help me please.
@zariusT links to the dev builds fail. I am having a LOT of errors in console. Is there some way we can get a good link to a working dev 1.9?
I'm having issues with bows not activating mob drops except at close ranges. For ghasts in particular there is an issue. Is there any way you could look into this?
My ghast section reads like this:
GHAST: - tool: ALL drop: DIAMOND chance: 5 quantity: 1-10
