OtherDrops
Make anything drop anything, anyhow!
Minecraft 1.7 features (click)!!
OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Help Wanted
Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.
Thanks
Many thanks to these people who helped with OtherDrops:
- Cyklo: creator of the original OtherBlocks. OtherDrops is a continuation of Cyklo's original OtherBlocks (2011) plugin.
- Celtic Minstrel: many code commits and a major overhaul of the code moving into version 2.0. Moved on to create DropFactory.
- Rofang: major update of OtherDrops documentation.
- RugRats13: lots of testing and some documentation.
- Faldonboy & Steelsouls: currently maintaining and improving the documentation.
- CommodoreAlpha: community support on the comments/forum, assisting with documentation.
Many long nights are spent improving OtherDrops so if you like it please consider a donation to my coffee fund :)
- OtherDrops uses Metrics for anonymous usage stats (learn more).
@ZariusT
There are issues with the new Chorus Flower/Chorus Plant from 1.9. You can't prevent that the plants/flowers drop the chrous fruits if they get destroyed by missing blocks under them. I hope you can fix it in the next hours/days.
Edit: Any chance that DAMAGE_WATER will work again (to modify seeds correctly)?
@ni_r3ng3r_ni
Yeah, needs to be added to documentation, here's the currently available "defaults":
worlds, regions, weather, biomes, time, permissiongroups, permissions, height, attackrange, lightlevel, trigger.
Seems like putting the flag UNIQUE under defaults doesn't do anything. Is that not possible? Is there an overview of the options I can put under 'defaults' for include files?
Anybody have a good link to DevBuilds? Anybody know if these dev builds are working?
Any update on when a new version will be released? The latest dev build throws an error when mobs (currently I've only tested skeleton vs skeleton) attack one another.
So I have https://justpaste.it/sbs0 as the config, and the error says: Unknown Material (Tool) and it does this for all of my other drops
@DAREALKINGKILLER
Can you post the config you are trying as well as the version of OtherDrops and Bukkit?
@ZariusT
When I add chance to the drop, no matter the % it seems to be giving me the item every time I break the Block it's tied too. Any help with this?
@Raulzus
Latest dev build (link on Github) but should work fine in stable too. Is that the only thing in your config? Also, perhaps try adding a message: "Testing..." line to make sure that the player move event is triggering correctly?
@ZariusT
The latest dev build. I'll try the more stable releases.
EDIT: Version 2.8b.596 doesn't seem to work for me. What version were you using?
EDIT: I was using Spigot 1.8.8 btw.
@Raulzus
Odd, what version of OtherDrops and Bukkit? I just tested the exact config, bumped the chance up to 50% and got heaps of sounds.
@podlucas
What version of Bukkit and OtherDrops are you using? Could you try temporarily renaming your OtherDrops folder, letting the plugin recreate the config files then adding back in a simple "dirt: diamonds" section? (just wondering if perhaps it's a different config option that didn't get reset if you updated OtherDrops)
Is it possible to not drop the original item. Ex: You dig dirt and it gives you want it to give you diamonds, But it gives you dirt and diamonds.
Sound effects are not working for me for some reason. I tried using higher percentage values but no sounds play.

Thanks for the 1.9 update! I created a bug report on your github page about a issue with 1.9: https://github.com/Zarius/Bukkit-OtherBlocks/issues/386
@cain_seldon
Also - that reminded me to add Sound and Effect lists to the "known_list" exports :) I think it was the build just after the latest one (596) on here but I've added a feature so that OtherDrops will export the full list of known enums for things list biomes, blocks, items, mobs, horse variants, potions, spawnreason, etc - now it'll export the known sound and effects for your particular version of Bukkit/Spigot :) Hopefully posting up a new version of OtherDrops soon.
@cain_seldon
Details for "effect:" tag here: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/otherdrops/pages/parameters/#w-effects
The latest listing (for Spigot 1.9 I assume) - is here: https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/spigot/org/bukkit/Effect.html
There is also a separate "sound" action (only documented in the changelog at the moment): new parameter - sound: <sound>/10v/1p (where v is volume and p is pitch - both optional) Supports all current and future Bukkit "Sound" values, also supports a range for volume and pitch & random sound e.g. {sound1, sound2, etc} format. Sound list for Spigot here: https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/spigot/org/bukkit/Sound.html
Hey guys, I want to add a sound effect when an OtherDrop occurs, how do I know what to put in for the effect tag?
@ZariusT
Thanks. I never thought about removing the #s from the otherdrops-drops.yml:
Something I'd like to mention is that the "%p" variable doesn't work when the MOB_SPAWN trigger is used.
Here's an example: http://pastie.org/private/wjmjstjkxzsc1fj3dtp7g
I tried it with other mobs in 1.8.8 but the player variable refuses to work with any sort of mob spawning.
EDIT: The "message:" parameter doesn't work with the MOB_SPAWN trigger either.
I've done some more testing and fixed a minor bug in the permissions check, otherwise most things appear to be working fine in 1.9 apart from Spawn Eggs (since 1.9 no longer uses Data Values for these I need to work out how to access the DataTag).
