Nexus
Nexus Beta (0.4.10)
The Next-Gen Plugin
Highlights
26 commands w/ over 60 variations for complete control and vast flexibility. Player names are recognized w/ just a few letters instead of typing out every character. Multi-world support allows each world to have its own spawn point. Players can request teleports to others w/out the need of a mod or admin. Drag-&-drop installation w/out cumbersome config files. More than 15x smaller & less overhead than competitive plugins, such as Essentials. Disable specific commands that are not needed or conflict w/ other plugins. Powerful & layered permissions to fine-tune the capabilities of mods & admins.
Developer's Commitment
Many plugins are slow to update or cease development period, thus causing admins to seek alternatives and then need to learn new commands & permissions. As the developer of Nexus, my commitment to you is long-term support by constantly updating to the latest Minecraft/CraftBukkit versions and provide fast email responses. Each release is heavily tested striving toward a zero-error target & quick fixes to any known or reported issues. Nexus will always be less than 100 KB w/ next-to-nothing overhead. Seriously.

I would love to see a basic command plugin that isn't overloaded with commands (I'm really alluding to Essentials, here). If you could also steer clear of the novelty commands that usually come with these plugins like /thor. Another good thing (And a way to compress commands is to add them instead as command args. Like /god could instead be /mode god.
EDIT: Before I forget, maybe as a way to be unique, you should call them checkpoints instead of warps and you could use /cp to create/use them.

I thrive on feedback, so thanks for your thoughts. You have an excellent point in that there are currently so many of these "basic command" plugins. However, after trying out so many of them, I always felt like I wanted something geared toward my personal taste. And this is just that... personal taste. I originally wasn't going to put this on Bukkit's website and just use this for my own server, but in the case if others wanted to give it a try... here it is.
After all of the basic commands are finished, I will be branching out considerably to make this unique and stand out from the others. I am receiving a lot of feedback already from the players on my server and am beginning setting future goals of where I want this project to go. Plus, to be honest... this is my first plugin. So I did just want to start simple.
Please make something different then one of these "basic command" plugins. With plugins like CommandBin, CommandBook, Essentials, RoyalCommands, PlgEssentials, there is already to much competition. I mean I did look at the source for this plugin and it looks good, I am just feeling like this is lacking something unique. Maybe add some features that would make this plugin more like the SideKick plugin. Stuff like world generators, website management/forum bridge, and other things. Just some constructive criticism. Good work though.

While Essentials is certainly a viable solution, as a server owner myself I have a love-hate relationship with that plugin, same as several other server owners. Why fix what isn't broken? Just because something isn't broken doesn't mean there is no need for adjustments, nor competition. I completely understand if you prefer to use Essentials... I just want to provide an alternative.
Essentials is already a viable solution to this problem. Why fix what ain't broke?
