Nexus
Nexus Beta (0.4.10)
The Next-Gen Plugin
Highlights
26 commands w/ over 60 variations for complete control and vast flexibility. Player names are recognized w/ just a few letters instead of typing out every character. Multi-world support allows each world to have its own spawn point. Players can request teleports to others w/out the need of a mod or admin. Drag-&-drop installation w/out cumbersome config files. More than 15x smaller & less overhead than competitive plugins, such as Essentials. Disable specific commands that are not needed or conflict w/ other plugins. Powerful & layered permissions to fine-tune the capabilities of mods & admins.
Developer's Commitment
Many plugins are slow to update or cease development period, thus causing admins to seek alternatives and then need to learn new commands & permissions. As the developer of Nexus, my commitment to you is long-term support by constantly updating to the latest Minecraft/CraftBukkit versions and provide fast email responses. Each release is heavily tested striving toward a zero-error target & quick fixes to any known or reported issues. Nexus will always be less than 100 KB w/ next-to-nothing overhead. Seriously.

I really like this plugin, but I do have a thing to complain about. Ban and kick don't work from console!
It is deeply annoying, and by the time I get on the server to ban that player, half of the server is already griefed.
This is a great plugin, but I have to use Bukkit commands if I want to ban a person, and it doesn't have reasons etc so please fix it.
@flevaserver
This is the most stable version thus far... absolutely. It has been stable since 0.1.0, except for 1 major bug that has already been addressed and fixed.
Looking Good is it Stable ?
@HaoSs
And is more stable, non-novelty, and 20x smaller. Not for everyone, but for those wanting a light-weight & just the basics... this is the best solution.
so basically it does the same thing as " essentials "
@noahdutch
Awesome! And I use it as my wallpaper as well... my friend made it for me and did just a great job. Check back often as I do update this plugin as frequently as possible.
This seems much more effective and smaller than Essentials! I can't wait to test it out! I already set the logo as my wallpaper ;) Looks great!
@ledhead900
Okay... I think I now figured out HOW to fix this... the fix is not in version 0.3.0, but will be included in the next update 0.3.1. I hope to have this available within the next 2 days.
@reptile311
Great comment, thank you! I will work on those features as future updates... I will add those to my to-do list.
@ThedarkdudeZ
Awesome feedback! I greatly appreciate the compliments plus suggestions! I thrive on getting feedback, both positive and negative, so I can make the best plugin possible.
Until now, I have no error (thank heavens), but I only have a little server with a few plugins.
I have a suggestion to the kit integration. On a server I am playing you can get a minecart with the /kit minecart command (after you got one, there is a delay until you get another one). Perhaps it will be possible to configure different item/blocks that you can get with /kit itemname/blockname.
Also the starterkit is a great idea, so you can give people some tools when they join for the first time.
Thanks for such a great plugin.
Came back here, to say what an epic plugin this is. It is such a lightweight, yet incredibly useful plugin for my server. I also have two suggestions that you might be interested in.
1. Teleport delays - Pretty self explanatory, but what I mean is if we could set a delay for /spawn, /home, /tp, etc. in the config. My server has PVP areas and lots of people are getting annoyed because opponents can instantly teleport from a fight.
2. Some ideas for kits - I am looking forward to you adding kits. I currently use StarterKit to give new players a set of items. If you were able to add the ability to be given kits automatically, upon joining, I could drop StarterKit completely and would have one less plugin to deal with.
Thanks again, for making this epic plugin!
@ledhead900
Well damn me... I've got Thursday through Saturday off so I will start to fix the issue there.
@vioCode
This is a pretty bad issue I am now testing myself to see if it cause of constant end of stream issues for people. if it I may need to remove this until this can get stability back on track because well obvious reasons as much as I like this plugin it has some leaks.
Edit: It is this plugin 5 ppl came on and no more start up errors and it appears stable again.
@ledhead900
Oh, joy. When I've got some time away from work I will research this as well. Thank you very much for being so involved!
@vioCode
Hello Again. Got more bugs for you. http://pastebin.com/E9D0uLuC
As you can see from this ErrorLog you plugins is actually doing a lot of quite silly things. Notable by looking carefully at the error report you will see at
As well as one for HawkEyE now I'm not sure who is what but your plugin does also listen for most of these events that have errors when player joins. It does not seem to effect every player join or every time the event is called but it almost always fires those errors on the first player joined after a restart.
@vioCode
Awesome, and yea its not problem every one starts developing somewhere it would only be an issue if things never got fixed.
@ThedarkdudeZ
I am actually nearly finished. What's on the To-Do list is probably going to be the final features added... unless I get more feedback to add additional essential-related features. Please note there is a small bug with disabling commands, but I figured out the problem today and will be working on a fix ASAP! Problem is that its a lot of work to fix this particular bug... but its the only remaining bug that my testers can find.
If you have any questions let me know.
Downloading now! Looks great. I used to use essentials, but then changed to CommandBook. Both of these were over-packed, so I went to look for a lightweight alternative. This looks great, and I want it to stay that way, so I have a suggestion.
The problem with most of these plugins, like essentials, is that they stop being, 'essential' and the majority of the commands become fun, rather than actually helpful. If this were to happen to Nexus, I would be really annoyed, because it seems like such a great plugin! Thanks!
@ledhead900
I found the issue! Now to fix it and release an update as soon as possible.
