About MV2
Multiverse was created at the dawn of Bukkit multiworld support. It has since then grown into a complete world management solution including special treatment of your nether worlds with NetherPortals.
In the second delivery of Multiverse, we've broken it up into several smaller plugins that are each feature packed but *not bloated*! Multiverse provides the easiest to use world management solution for your Minecraft server, big or small, and with great addons like Portals and NetherPortals, what's not to love!
Multiverse is back! Is your server, a Multiverse?
Multiverse-NetherPortals Features
- Allow a nether per real world!
- Let nether portals built in a world go to a specific world
- Custom World Scaling when using NetherPortals! (All types of worlds, normal, skylands and nether supported! Even Custom generators!)
So long Awesome Builds
We use to have this notion of an "Awesome Build" or AB which was suppose to be thought of like Bukkit's Recommended Build system. Awesome Builds were ones that we put extra testing into and were meant to be very stable. Unfortunately there will be no more Awesome Builds. Our development team doesn't have the time to devote to the project that we use to. As such, we've moved to a new build system which you'll notice in the new version numbering. Our release builds here should be stable; Lots of people have had time to vet them for us while they were only development builds. While we don't have much time to work on the project, we do still take critical bugs very seriously and try to get them fixed as quickly as possible.
Well my issue, that's been happening for a while. Going to a world's respective Nether works, but coming back, it spawns an entirely new Portal a good distance away from the original one. This happened on my old, main map, and also a 1.6.2 imported map.
I am running a dev version of this v2.5 b666?
LONG BUT PLEASE HELP! Im having the problem where anyone on an island in my skyblock world can create a portal but once they go through it sends them to one specific location, which would be the special nether world just for skyblock (There is a nether world for Factions, and just the default that bukkit makes at first). So what do I do, do I keep this and there is a way to make any portal created by a player with permissions to take them through and send them to one spot every time.. or do I get another plugin that allows anyone to create one specific type of portal design to take them to one spot. I really like mvnp world link feature and what portals can take you were but I just want to world warp to successfully take all players to one set location in that nether world and they use /island to get back home.
@barbaroes
You have to make the portal in the world yourself and tell the plugin if someone uses that portal from that world it will send you back
I need some help with multiverse portals. I have put the plugin and used the main plugin to create a nether and an end. Using the coomand i linked them properly but i have a few issues.
NETHER 1. Transport from world to world_nether i end up inside abunch of netherrack. I am unable to make the portal to go anywhere different. I need portals to link normally. 2. Same thing on the way back i linked but they tp me to a random spot.
End 1. I teleport to a random spot inside the nether not even on the platforms like usuall 2. I suspect 1 and 2 also apply
I want portals to all work just like they do in vinalla so their easy to understand and simple. Can you offer any help!
actually, (i feel dumb now) i just found out that the .jar wasnt in my plugins folder... now when ever i walk into a nether portal, it says "this portal goes nowhere" and it throws me off somewhere. (Rude!)
Whenever i walk into a nether portal with a sign on it,(on my server) it dosent send me anywhere. What should I do?
It says This Portal goes nowhere Please help!
Hello hello, For some reason the netherportals on my server seized to work when I installed multiverse portals. I then installed netherportals to fix this problem, but I still can't switch the regular netherportals on (the multiverse portals work great). Any thoughts?
Is there a way to have the nether and end portals from this not just dump you in a random location upon going through? Like, maybe, dropping you at the spawn points you have set for those end and nether worlds?
At present my End portal spawns me out in the middle of nowhere, where I can't even see the land. The Nether portal spawns me under a lava lake..

I have a video of the problem

i have Problem with nether portals and multiverse
@BaptizedByFire
Thanks Baptized, that appears to have worked perfectly.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated. :)
When I go through a nether portal, it doesn't spawn a nether portal to come back to the overworld. Any help? :3
@Odiumxxx
Change the scales in both worlds to 1.
@winglessravens
I'm having the same problem, when a user goes through a netherportal all is well, however when they return a seemingly random netherportal is created in the overworld which often messes up builds.
Asked in #multiverse but no one will respond, anyone here have any ideas?
@westjet1
Yeeaa it works! One issue I'm having though where players take the portal back from the Nether and it puts them to someone else's portal, not their own. Any ideas anyone?
For some reason the portals dont spawn me in other nether portals, or in the mv spawn point. is there anyway to fix this so I dont suffocate or end up in the End's void?
This plugin needs a major update. Actually, what they should do is just allow linking notch-style Nether and End portals in Multiverse-Core, and just get rid of this plugin altogether.
