ItemShare
ItemShare
What does it do?
It takes the item in your hand and examines it. Then it writes a description of that item in the general chat box. This way you can show your items to other players in the server without having to manually write a description
Why did I make this?
We wanted to show off our enchanted stuff to each other but we were to lazy to write them in the chat box

@Phoenix616
Fuck U dude 5$ The comunity needs free plugins not that.
Works but does not work with custom enchantments. :'(
I have a plugin which is similar to this but is updated to the latest bukkit and which shows all attributes of an item as a hover message (lore, echants, etc...). It also can show symbols in the chat! Go here for more info!
how could i get it to work with itemlorestats plugin, so when sharing the item it shows the new stat set up not the old enchanting setup? if this is even possible
@Hangar
I have been thinking about it. When I find the time I will work some more on this plugin
Have you thought about converting this to use the mouseover links? You can fit everything in there without using so many chat lines.
Just a thought :)
@Hangar
please report a bug by creating a ticket. That way it's easier for me.

The problem should however be solved easy
go to your plugins folder and open the folder "ItemShare" that folder should contain a file "config.yml"
in that file change the line of ARROW_DAMAGE to ARROW_DAMAGE: Power
than reload the server
When I use /item on a bow that has Punch I and Power IV on it, it says in chat that the bow has Punch I and Punch IV on it.
@Hangar
thanks for the feedback. I'll take in consideration. It's currently set in the upcoming section to make sure I'll check it out.
@Lukethenuke
Ah, ok. Thanks :)
@Hangar
The reason it doesn't show particular stuff in Diablo Drops is because this plugin only recently started looking into custom item descriptions like Enchantment API for example. So the author is actually working on making things like Lore appear but until some bugs can be worked out with Enchantment API, diablo drops is most likely lining up in a possible long list of features.
This is very neat, and *very* useful alongside DiabloDrops. The only thing I can think of is that it doesn't show every line of the items DD makes (it misses the magic properties like -3 Speed).
A few other suggestions:
- Remove the 'Publicly shared item' line since we already get another line about who shared it and space is a premium in chat. The underlining also cuts into the top of the font on the line below (Mojang... *sigh*...)
- For the same reason, if an item has no enchants, just don't even list the 'Enchantments:' and 'None' lines... that's 2 extra lines that tell you nothing if we can assume there's no enchants if none are listed.
Thanks for listening :)
@Lukethenuke
V2.0.0 is now waiting to be approved. Once it is approved by Bukkit it will be available for download. In this version EnchantAPI is supported.
on the lore part. I'm looking into it
@spartam
No I mean lore the feature of vanilla minecraft.
@Lukethenuke
That won't wont work since the lore plugin as a different way of storing their information on items. because of this, just detecting that plugin will have no effect.
@spartam
Well maybe just having it detect lore in general might work. Would that be possible?
@Lukethenuke
I have now EnchantmentAPI plugin running on our testserver. I'll check it out and see what how this can be integrated.
As far as I see it integrating EnchantmentAPI will automaticly integrate EnchantmentPack as it depends on it.
Since I find it hard to find any documentation about Lore Attributes it will be hard to integrate it.
Alright so I've tested it out. I'm going to suggest stuff right away just in case it isn't on your to do list.
I hope those are do-able and I'd be interested in a response whenever you can.
Cheers.
Thank you for making this. I can't wait!
