Extra Hard Mode
Extra Hard Mode changes the game rules to create NEW, INTERESTING CHALLENGES for players who have mastered the core game. Unlike Mojang's "hard" mode or other plugins' "hardcore" modes which just punish you more for making mistakes without actually changing game mechanics, Extra Hard Mode delivers interesting new challenges for advanced players.

Recommended Plugins
- Make tree logs and branches fall when chopped with GraviTree. Set "FallingLogsDamagePlayers" to true in its config for an extra challenge!
- For anti-grief, avoid plugins that disable explosions entirely, because that will undermine the cave-in mechanic and the new improved TNT.
- Avoid plugins which allow players to teleport themselves out of danger when they're in combat or lost. Especially avoid plugins which add commands like /home, /back, and /tpa, since they will undermine the difficulty VERY much. Consider instead a teleportation plugin like Population Density, which allows players to teleport only between teleportation posts it places on the surface every 400 blocks.
- You might want to look into balancing villagers. Having diamond gear tradable for very easily farmable materials will undermine the difficulty. I use Rebalance Villagers to make the trades harder.
Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- Config options that are activated, allowing me to see what people use (or don't)
You can disable the stat collection via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish. If you want to see the stats, you can go here

Was getting this error on Bukkit as well. Spigot gives it too: http://pastebin.com/WLmJUQGu
@Diemex
Ok. Well it's good to take a longer break every now and then. Hope you'll be checking from time to time for bug reports if something serious creeps up.
Heres some information for you :)
I'm on version 3.4.2 (Build 87)

Actually I don't really plan on adding many features to it anymore. I will still add a bit more of the requested config changes. I'm going to make a version that works with 1.5.2 hexxit for my server to play with some friends. Not sure if I will upload it. Once I start playing mc again I will most likely add some more features, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
@MarkehMe
This was an issue in 3.4.1 and previos versions and was fixed in 3.4.2. What version are you running? Which features are activated in the nether? Is it all or just some parts? What does running "ehm enabled" while being in the nether output?
Just out of curiosity, as I keep tabs on this wonderful plugin regularly, do you have any plans as to when are you going to start developing EHM again?
Oddly, the only world I have this enabled in - is the hardcore world:
However it is enabled in the nether? world_nether is not setup at all in the config.yml (as far as I can see) - any idea how I can go about fixing this? Nether is a little too hectic!
Thanks for the plugin - it works great otherwise.
@Intangir
Must've gone through an end portal in the end? Would explain why it spawned at (0,0). Entites that go through the end portal spawn at (0,0).
dude.. the damn ender dragon spawned in the WORLD world. instead of world the end
and my house is at 0,0
so i have an ender dragon trashing my lovely home, hes unstoppable..
@Forerunner343i
The feature is called "Limited Building". At the moment it is not configurable in the way you need it, so I would advise to just turn it off.
It is meant as an easy way to restrict players to build near the ground and not far up in the sky. Also it prevents easy pillaring out of harms way by pillaring straight up so monsters can't reach you.
@dawm
You set
and don't get the messages in your regular chat anymore? All of them?
Turning off the scoreboard gets rid of tutorial messages.. is this on purpose? I really hope not because I would prefer to not use the scoreboard.
Hi and thanks for this plugin ! My minecraft expérience is being completely changed for the best; it's just awesome !
Many of the features I've been looking for as individual plugins are found put together in just one single-simple-to-configure plugin ! Perfect ! There are a few things I'm yet not fully able to understand...
In fact, the main feature which remains really not understandable though useful is how the block placement is working ? I'm running an inverses world using Terrain Control with négative volatility (which means the top of the Map is 256 flat and the bottom 128+/- with huge "mountains" (reversed) below 128... Being able to build a city above the bottom void would be nice, as in the Red Terns map, with buildings hung to cliffs and carried by 45° inclined trunks... But as for now, it seems that I'm unable to place any blocks hang to a cliff if there is no block below... Is that it really that way ? Is there some sort of hierarchy, like logs/fences/inverses stairs/customizable blocks being able to "float" with only one face attached to a wall, and planks between for the ground (which wouldn't be able to be placed on a wall side if alone)
If anyone has explanations, or a vid, that would ne greatly helpful ! Thanks
I did a bit of play testing for the ender dragon today and I discovered a couple issues.
When you kill the dragon and he drops the ender egg, there is a chance that the egg will fall directly into fire. The ender dragon creates quite a bit of fire during the fight so this could be quite common. On my server ender dragon eggs will be used as a top tier currency. It would be pretty discouraging if a player kills the dragon and then the egg burns immediately.
The other issue I've found is that fire resistance potions make the fight very easy. Almost as easy as the vanilla dragon fight. It would be nice if there was an option to have the fire resistance effect removed while they player is in the end. Since killing the ender dragon will be essential for end game progression on my server I cant have it be too easy.
Dear Authors
I know and understand why you blocked this option, but could you please make it optional to block (sticky)pistons from pushing stone.
I'm running a server and need this option, to be toggled off. So If you please can make a little update with this option, and/or a permission for this. I really enjoy using this plugin, and would like to keep it, so I hope you may help me.
Regards BroderMibran.
If anyone is interested I am using the plugin with a series of other plugins designed to make Minecraft as impossible as I could. Here is my series on trying to survive in the world I created. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyVXGsYCD6qSaBv1Q1RDyFA9nhZRoDaoS
If anyone is interested these are the other plugins I used with this one to create the experience you see above. monster-apocalypse,Extra Hard Mode,Animal Plague,Gringotts,Magic,MorePotions,PLayer Speed API,PwnPlantGrowth,Sentry,Rebalance Villagers,Stackable Items,TimeFold,Towny,Variable Triggers,WorldEdit.
Also if anyone is interested in playing on this server with me to try it out let me know, I can also send you my configuration files if you want!
@Diemex Let me know if you want me to create a highlight reel for your plugin page, I would be more the happy to, that is if you enjoy my videos above. I just figured people may want to see what you could do with this plugin when configured with other plugins!
Creepers don't explode stone... how do we fix this?
Edit: Solved it kind of with EHM's config file, but it seams impossible to protect damage to claims.
Hi
I using Grief Prevention on my server and have problems with super creepers destroying blocks inside claims, and normal creepers dont.
What kind of explosion is it? I have tried to control it with "otherexplosions" Any suggestion?
Thanks for great plugin
@Zombiemold
Yes, but at the moment I'm not working on ehm. I might get to pushing out a little update with the smaller requested features as the one you requested.
@Notskal
I guess you have fixed/resolved the issue by now?
@tkx
The harder stone feature is meant to keep players in caves and prevent them from branchmining. Some players placed ore like iron ore next to stone and broke the ore afterwards. That's why you cannot place blocks from the "ore" list next to stone.
@tronman2020
I think I added some of the new trees, at least acacia to some extend. The new trees use a new wood type, but most of them should work to some extend with the newest version of ehm.
how can i make dark oak wood fall? and other "new" trees?
I tried to add stone to the list of Breaking Blocks Softens Surrounding Stone:... now I can't place stone on stone... any ideas?
I'd like it to have a little more challenge in mining, so that when you mine stone, it actually breaks the stone around it to cobblestone.
