What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)

- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

How do i make it so One world has the Faction name before their name. but in a nother does not? Like for example.... I am using EssentialsChat and i do. PVP World: '{FACTION} [{DISPLAYNAME} {MESSAGE}'
Building world: '[{GROUP}] [{DISPLAYNAME}] {MESSAGE}
But the Building world still has the Faction Name before it. Please help asap!

Ya i would but.Im using jobs to earn money and a builder can spam blocks in a worldguard zone to earn FAST money :(

You can use worldguard regions for this in the meantime...
Would i be possible to give the option to deny commands in warzones? And also deny the usages of worldedit commands such as /jumpto (compass)?

That's the biggest reason. We are also hoping to re-implement some features which are temporarily removed in the process of re-structuring major sections of code, before the next release.
Are you guys just waiting for Bukkit to release a RB before you release 1.7.0? 'cause I'd really like to see this plugin on my server sooner rather than later.

dude your userguide is down and not working and i cant get the perms and commands or anything...its really annoying please fix

Hmm...that could be an issue. I thought you needed Register if you didn't already have iCo6. Oops.

New Issue. I have bankMembersCanWithdraw set to false but members can still withdraw. Is there a fix for this?

Nevermind. I edited the plugin.yml to add a permissions node 'factions.money.kit.restricted' where I only gave essential commands. Then using your format I made 'factions.money.kit.standard' inherit restricted. I also made halfplayer get restricted instead of standard and full player gets standard. I also removed factions.kit.fullplayer from being default and changed the default to factions.kit.halfplayer. I think it allows for more control without having to remove nodes straight away, I can add nodes as needed.

Factions is a phenomenal concept, and I'm impressed at your consistent support of it. Thanks for your continued development!
I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if factions iConomy hook was broken or not. As far as I can tell, I've enabled the iConomy support and I've yet to see it work.
Is this broken by 1.0.0 or iCo6 or my own human error?
Whatever the case, it will be continued to be supported into the new build that you're working on?

Since color is used to indicate relation between the viewing player and the viewed faction, setting a color for a specific faction isn't planned.

Not currently possible and not currently planned. There are settings enabled by default which prevent use of /f home in enemy territory or near enemies, however.

You can do "/f map on" and have the map update every new chunk you go into to make sure your not missing anything.
is there a way to add a delay to the teleporation to 'f home'? i've looked through the config. file and nothing caught my eye..
does someone know how to add colour to the faction name? Im admin so I've got access to all files and that so I can go in and edit but how do I add colours?

Agreed on the issues with removing the Radius feature. Finally decided to try factions and the fact this feature disappeared was one of the most annoying things with setting it up. I cannot fly everywhere with autoclaim on safezone, it is way to easy to miss a chunk+.
Would have been great if I could have just gone to my spawn, used /f claim warzone 200, /f claim safezone 30, and had a ~200 block warzone with a ~30 block safezone inside of it. (I assume block, unless it ment chunk radius, either way, doesn't currently work).
Had to stick with only a safezone due to this. Not sure if I totally missed something.
Yes, I can also confirm Factions 1.6.1 working brilliantly on bukkit #1537.
We do not use /f home, however.
Hey im a server owner and I'd like that I could tp to the /f home of some factions I would LOVE if you would add something to /f bypass that you could do /f home [faction] Sorry if this is already implemented but I can't just find it.
