I will likely add a parser to identify numeric values for materials, however the lists use the bukkit Material, the list is http://jd.bukkit.org/rb/apidocs/org/bukkit/Material.html. The plugin will give you a link to that page if your configuration is messed up. I agree that this needs more docs, I'll get working on it sometime.
To block water buckets from dispensers, add Water_Bucket to the dispense blocking list. I have not tested it, but I am 90% sure it works. If you find any issues I'll be glad to fix them, I'm sorry that the new version is a little bit confusing, I intended the update to simplify everything by generating a config per world, and condensing the configs greatly.
There really needs to be more documentation on how to do things. For example, on the old version I could disable enderpearls easily, however now I cant see the option anywhere, im assuming it has to go under blocked_items, but what is the name for them? Can we use the number?
How do we block water buckets from being dispensed? Is it put under Dispensing? And if it is what do we put in? The water block ID, the bucket ID...
I really love this plugin but its 100% guesswork on everything, and it would be a lot more pleasant to use if you made a page explaining what each option does and what you need to put in to block something.
Great looking plugin, but do you have a link that you can post of item names, mob names and spawn reasons that work with your plugin? Or do we have to look through the Bukkit API?
@Waterdust2000
Disallowed_Reasons represent 'SpawnReasons' you want to block.
For example, Zombie Pigmen spawn when a lightning strikes a pig. Hence lightning as the spawn reason.
For more information: http://jd.bukkit.org/apidocs/org/bukkit/event/entity/CreatureSpawnEvent.SpawnReason.html
Maybe this has been explained before.. idk?
Disallowed_Reasons:
- lightning
What is this?
@joshwenke
Updates permissions page, any further documentation you would like to see?
@wolfenguard
They can still be thrown, but the effects should be blocked. Can you confirm? Also I am working on the permissions as we speak, they will be done in a few minutes.
great Plugin. I might be doing something wrong, but regular potions(non-splash) are disabled in config, but players are still able to use them? I don't see a permission for it as well.
Can't wait for some documentation! ;)
Seems like it isnt blocking splash potions from being thrown, its disabled in all of the configs, people can still throw them unfortunately.
@xclucky
Update to the latest file, spawn rules is no longer used.
This link still does not exist: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/entitymanager/pages/spawn_rules
It is used in the config.
Quick question, Have you seen my ticket? I've had no response :) Thanks
I'm curious, given I've stopped npc trades, item 52 spawns give no reward, is there a way to stop people from making natural grinders? or is this the domain of another plugin perhaps?
If it falls within the realm of possibility is all I'm curious about here.
@imilkywayz
I think this is the link you meant taht is in the header of Spawn_Rules.yml, but it says I do not have permission to create the page: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/entitymanager/create-page/?name=spawn_rules. I think you included the wrong link in the header xD Sorry for not mentioning that earlier xD
EDIT: It actually mentions 403 forbidden even when linking to http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/entitymanager/pages/spawn_rules and then links to http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/entitymanager/create-page/?name=spawn_rules
@imilkywayz
Is your plugin doing that or is it just possible? I'd love to limit mob/villager farms.
@xclucky
They were linked in with the file -.-
Added mob spawn control based on the 'SpawnReason' - v5.0.2 Beta file. Click SpawnReason
@imilkywayz
If you would, read my edit :p You beat me to it haha. @xclucky
Also, where can I find the reasons? They are not defined yet in documentation? Are they?
@xclucky
Add all the spawn reasons your dont want to the list, and if a creature is spawned with that reason, it is cancelled. Thats essentially all that is done.
So using the newest update, how would I configure the following:
A pig will not be naturally spawned into the map, however, it can be spawned in by either using a mob egg or breeding two already existant pigs.

EDIT:
In resonse to the comment below by @alexandercitt, there was a plugin (which is sadly outdated now) that used to do this http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/chunkbreedlimit/#comments
Is there any possibly you could incorperate something similiar to this in your plugin? With one modification though, instead of preventing mobs from breeding once they reach a cap in that chunk only, do a radius or a radius of chunks. If it is efficient.
