Getting Started
Installation |
---|
Bukkit is currently required.
- Install WorldEdit first. (DON'T FORGET THIS)
- Download CommandBook and install it the same way.
- Run your server once to generate the files.
- Edit plugins/CommandBook/config.yml to your liking.
- Restart the server for the settings to take effect.
You'll have to read the wiki (see below) to find the permissions you need.
Want more features, faster? We need some help with something!

Awe man, your plug-in doesn't like 1.4.2..... :(
@Felix06 and @jwmpine You should look into dedicated, yet lightweight plugins to handle your requests. CommandBook shouldn't become as big as essentials, otherwise what is the point of having CommandBook AND Essentials? It is better they keep their uniqueness. Essentials is huge, commandbook is simple and light. Let's keep commandbook agile. While the features are basic they get the job done.
jwmpine - Try TeleportSuite or one of the tens of teleporting plugins.
Felix06 - There are Mail plugins already, just search.
Keeping commandbook lightweight allows it to perform great and also have a stable build just hours after a Minecraft version update. Simple features means less stuff to break.
Mail feature please like on Essentials
How do I set up a price tax for players to pay if they want to use the /spawn command to accept danger and/or set up a delay to them teleporting
Does CommandBook have the equivalent to /tpa <Player> and /tpahere <Player> from Essentials?
There seems to be the /call command but the permissions doesn't work very well .. I mean people who have permission to bring (which is required for call to work), can just bring random people to them without their consensus.
I got this message:
19.10 21:32:37 [Server] WARNING [CommandBook] Failed to load warps: plugins/CommandBook/warps.csv (No such file or directory) 19.10 21:32:37 [Server] WARNING [CommandBook] Failed to load warps: plugins/CommandBook/homes.csv (No such file or directory)
and checked these files are not in the download. Are they important?
@yurikoma
Yes, I know that. However, the problem is that /cmdbook reload is still wiping my config back to default, which is why I tried a regular reload.
@Nuinethir
never use /reload ingame basically every plugin author will tell you this, either use a plugin that allows you to restart individual plugins, use the plugins reload command (not all plugins have one) or stop and start your server.
Is there a printable list of commands?
Trying to edit the config on CommandBook is becoming frustrating. It will randomly reset the config to defaults, depending on if it is reloaded from console, in-game, or with /cmdbook reload. Please fix this so that any reload does not fubar the config file. Thanks!
@Har88
Use CommandHelper. It is a beautiful plugin.
This needs more command Aliases.
@Fran55on
You would need to create the book, then get the item id for that book, it will look something like 123:19648 and that is what you need to put for the kit.
Hello sk89q and zml2008,
I have a question and a couple ideas.
CommandBook have a kit command. What will happen if I try to give a "Written Book" in a kit? Would it be empty?
Could you make it so that you in the kit definition file you could refer to a book definition file? (A text file with Information about: Title, Author, Number of pages and Text per page. (Page1, Page2, Page3...))
Maybe you could add a command to copy/backup a book to a file, and one to restore a book from a file as well. (You would have to hold the desired book in your hand to do that. That means that you need to have a book to restore the text in it.)
Also would it be possible to give a "starter kit" to new players as they logs on for the first time? (And only that one time.)
I'd like to give a starter kit to, my players, which contain a written book with the server rules.
Best regards Magnus Fransson.
update for 1.3.1/1.3.2 pls
Would be nice if this supported multiple homes via permission node. :D
How to download?
is it not possible to spawn EnderCrystals anymore?
Is it possible to make this integrate with VanishNoPacket - so that when players msg/tell someone who is vanished, it tells them that the player is not online?
@mcHUB
Yup, just look @ the config.
