Ancient Gates
Introduction
This plugin can allow those with permission, to create gates. These gates will teleport any player, entity (incl. passenger) or vehicle (incl. passenger) that enters that gate to the designated location and/or execute a command. This is a very easy to use, easy to maintain transportation plugin! As a bonus, the gates can look any way you like (vertical or horizontal), with a selection of portal materials.
To get started, try the in game command: /gate

@Itz_Im_So_Rhodes
I definately read and reply ;). Sounds reasonable, I shall add it to the todo list.
@peewi96
I have an idea for the next version could you make it so you could make it say a customized message when you go through the portal which can be changed in the config this would be awesome if you did so. thanks and hope you read and reply to this
@ccattell
Uhmm... There's not much I can do in that situation if that were rockon999's case.
@peewi96
I have been able to reproduce this by creating a gate, opening it, then either remove the AG plugin from the server, or delete the json entry for that gate. The gate remains open, but it is now a gate to the nether
@rockon999
I've not been able to reproduce this error at all :(. Could you PM me some more details.
@Tsusai
You will not teleport to the nether if you don't have a destination set, you will simply stand in the gate and a message will appear telling you no destination has been set.
I believe the issue must arise when "useInstantNether" is set false and you set the desitination to nether, as it is using the vanilla nether teleportation event. This will be fixed in the next release.
@rockon999
I think I know what's happened. If you don't have a destination set on a gate, you will teleport to the nether if you stand in an open gate (or instantly if creative). This WILL form a obsidian portal on the nether side because you touched nether portal blocks. If you are trying to make a gate <-> gate connection from a world to a nether, I highly advise using op/admin commands to teleport yourself to the nether. This way you can set your destinations appropriately.
Ancient gates shouldn't create nether portals unless 1) you don't have a destination set or 2) you are using an older version which didn't work with players in creative mode.
@rockon999
I've not come across this issue before. I shall look into it for you and implement a fix within the next release I'm currently working on.
I'll PM you if I need more details.
@peewi96
Hello :D I love this plugin, the only issue I have is when you teleport to the nether using a portal, it creates a nether portal... which you get stuck in and then it tps you back and forth till you break a portal. I'd like it if it didn't build a portal when you teleported :)
@pabloaugust
Portals need to be at least 2 blocks wide. Standard minecraft client limitation I'm afraid.
I'm adding this to the FAQ, its asked far too often.
is it just me or can portals only be placed in a east-west direction? i get a small portal line if i want to place a portal north-south
Thank you for Continuing this plugin!
@Lama0
It will be in the next release :). It's being worked on as we speak ;)
Are we able to change the portal material to say water? Or is it something that is coming soon, if at all?
@macgarthur
Send me a full error log via pastebin.com, I need more than just the one line you see :). I can then try an work out why the error comes up :).
@peewi96
lol sorry this is being spammed in my console, it all appears to still work correctly
@macgarthur
That's as useful as a chocolate teapot... You've got to give me more than that ;).

@wouslander
In multiverse-core, do you have "enforceaccess" set to true in the multiverse config.yml?
@wouslander
Use the latest development build :)
