Ancient Gates
Introduction
This plugin can allow those with permission, to create gates. These gates will teleport any player, entity (incl. passenger) or vehicle (incl. passenger) that enters that gate to the designated location and/or execute a command. This is a very easy to use, easy to maintain transportation plugin! As a bonus, the gates can look any way you like (vertical or horizontal), with a selection of portal materials.
To get started, try the in game command: /gate

You can (globally) opt out the stat collection via /plugins/bStats/config.yml if you wish.
i see you have multiple "to" locations set in the to do list.... how is that going to work? random?
@peewi96
No need to, i just wanted to have couple of those golden pressureplates infront of the portal but it is good without them also :) no worries, just wanted to tell you that since i thought it was a bug ^_^ but nice that you knew that already! :)
@nicktehbrick
There are known issues with groupmanager and the use of wildcard permissions, but I believe there is a solution. I'll implement a solution tonight.
@semirotta
Use the latest development build from the development builds link above, build #18.
I missed some of the newer block ids from one of the block lists, which was causing interference with the portal orientation algorithm.
@nicktehbrick
why are you using groupmanager? That is the WORST permission based plugin you can ever get. I always keep hearing from people that permissions aint working properly or such with that plugin... Really bad ! Use bpermissions instead. Works fine with that
Got an issue with latest build. Made portal to end and nether next to each others, now the portal type turns into both "End portal" type... I want all portals to be nether portal like but it keeps changing these 2 portals into end type :(
EDIT:
I had golden pressure plates in front of portal, removed those and it stayed as normal nether portal-like... wtf?
Hey guys, anyone else having problems using ancientgates.use.* with groupmanager? Doing something like ancientgates.use.spawn works, but the * doesn't... :'(
@PyroItalia
I have had a look into this issue and have managed to reproduce it. I shall look into a solution for this.
In the meantime, a quick "fix" would be to remove the nether portal and create an AncientGate that points to the nether, and one that points back to the hub. At least that way you wouldn't get any interference.
It seems that when you teleport back to the overworld, it searches for the nearest nether portal and finds your survival gate first. Once again I shall look into a solution for this.
I have a bug that should be looked over. I made a nether portal in the portal hub of my server, and a creative world and survival world portal, all next to each other. Well I went through the nether portal and everything is normal until you go back to the over world, you are teleported through one of the ancient gates (which is my survival gate) rather than the nether portal. is there a way to fix this?
@ccattell
Yes you're right, that will happen and is a bug.
I shall resolve both these issues tonight and try to get the bukkit dev staff to approve the update quickly.
Thanks guys for your support on this.
I think I have found a bug in the latest build....
I make a gate with a "from" location in a hole in the wall and open it, it opens as nether portal blocks, fine.
Then I add a second "from" location that is a hole in the floor, and it opens as end portal, again, fine.
But when I walk back to the first "from" gate I made, it is now end portal as well and is floating weird in the frame
@cr0ssbreed
For anybody having the issues below, I have made a very quick fix to resolve the issue.
Please click on the development builds link above and download build #16
Once again guys, I do apologise.
@brassqund seems to have pin pointed the root cause, I shall have a look at this tonight after work.
@peewi96
No big deal man, have a good birthday. I downgraded to 1.6.2 for the time being - no problems yet. I've tried disabling the auto updater a number of ways, but each one kept updating regardless until I downgraded to 1.6.2 because it doesn't have the feature.
I use your plugin for a time (it is awesome) and I got problem. (version 1.6.5 or 1.6.4... I don't remember) Suddenly, the plugin start to crash when I start or reboot the server.
I check a little bit and I find the source of the problem: There is a portal then I delete who are not completely erase in the gates.json.
The "from" was delete, but not the "to" and I got a extra "entities": true, "vehicles": false, "material": "PORTAL", "cost": 0.0 who are not suppose to be there. I erase those two things and the problem is gone. I don't have change the file manually before, so, it is the plugin? Random bugs who don't make the "remove" command incomplete?
ps: sorry for my English, I am french. And I am with the last version now.
I'm very sorry guys, I tested this thoroughly and the auto update feature can be turned off in config, else the bukkit dev staff won't approve the file. Turn the auto update off in conf.json whilst the server is off and check your bulk it "update" folder is empty. Then download 1.6.5. I'll have a look tonight. I'm out on my birthday at the minute :/.
I'm very sorry :/.
Hey peewl, glad you're keeping this going. And GREAT JOB on the amazing additions.
I am using this with Spigot and BungeeCord on my server, and after the newest version (auto update), I am getting this on startup: http:pastebin.com/raw.php?i=anDz32p9
Also, I disabled auto updates in the config so this wouldn't occur, downgraded versions back to my previous build (1.6.5), everything worked fine. However, it appears that the auto update feature is still enabled regardless of turning it off in the config - so every reboot it just auto updates and breaks again. Thoughts?
Any ideas? ...
Exelent plugin ;)
