Ancient Gates
Introduction
This plugin can allow those with permission, to create gates. These gates will teleport any player, entity (incl. passenger) or vehicle (incl. passenger) that enters that gate to the designated location and/or execute a command. This is a very easy to use, easy to maintain transportation plugin! As a bonus, the gates can look any way you like (vertical or horizontal), with a selection of portal materials.
To get started, try the in game command: /gate

Almost 2 weeks, without a word about anything at all, whats going on?
As of 1.5.1, it seems my permission specific gates aren't working anymore, and letting everyone through...
Hey guys, hows it coming with the to-do list?
Wish the bukkit team and the original dev would have gotten along better, great mod.
Hi guys,
Yes the plugin works fine on on 1.4.7, 1.5.0 and 1.5.1, sorry for the delay in replying.
@MrGobbles
If by the colour of the gate you mean the portal block, then this is simply the vanilla portal block, you can change the colour of this in the texture pack, but it will obviously change the colour of the nether portals too.
can you change the color of the gate thing? :)
Yes it is fully compatible all the way to 1.5.1, we have it on our server and it works great
Yes this does work for 1.5, Its released to 1.5. So yes, I'm going to try it on my server right now I'll get back to you
Does this work with 1.5? (Confused)
Thanks for looking in to that, also, any chance you would consider adding MySql support?
@ccattell
Ahhh... I understand the question now, my apologies, thanks for clarifying.
AncientGates does not currently currently offer this functionality, though I will definitely investigate this idea and see if it can be implemented.
Let me get back to you.
@peewi96
I have tried it before with the following method and it does not work
The only gate that opens it the last one set , (it this example, Sandstone)
It would definately help with gate management on servers with a full on gate network, especially when a specific area needs to be temporarily closed due to wartime or maintenance, you could cut off the area by using a single close command /gate close Charleston and the entrances in Cydonia, Ravenwood, and Sandstone all close at once.
Hi @ccattell
Basically each AncientGate teleports you to its target location. You would simply create a gate, and set its target location to the same target location as the other gates.
Hopefully I haven't misunderstood the question, haha!
Hello, i was wondering if there was a way to make a single portal exit have multiple entrances?
We have a gate network in our server that links the various regions together, but its a pain to have to set 12+ different portals with the same exit spot for each region.... currently we are up to well over 60+ portals and the network isnt even finished yet
Still waiting for BukkitDev file approval for v1.5.9 (stable).In the meantime I've just uploaded v1.6a (alpha) to support Craftbukkit 1.5 and implement proof-of-concept BungeeCord support.
Currently you must issue the command "/setto [id] [toserver]" on the server the gate resides. This allows you to specify a BungeeCord server for the gate to teleport you to.
The final version will function somewhat differently. Instead you will switch to the server you wish to set the "setto" location to and issue the command "/setto [id] [fromserver]". This will have the advantage of allowing you to specify a specific location on the target server.
If you're interested in helping test the BungeeCord development, then please register your interest on the BungeeCord Poll at the top.
The alpha version is still backward compatible with 1.4.7-R1.0 if you wish to use it.

Peewi96,
Thank you very much for your attention to this matter. I very much appreciate how quickly you have addressed the issues. Will grab it as soon as it's approved and update you on how it's working.
Thanks so much! -Kait
@peewi96
Version 1.5.9 has been uploaded to address these issues, please wait for Bukkit staff to approve the file.

Interference with nearby nether portals is something that should be relatively easy to fix.
With regards to the zombie pig, I believe that may be something within the vanilla Minecraft code that spawns zombie pigs near nether portals with a small probability rating. I shall investigate this further, but I don't believe they are actually "passing through" but simply being spawned in/near the portal.
I'll get back to you after I've investigated.
Hi peewi96,
First, I want to thank you for continuing to maintain the best portal plugin I've yet to use. I'm very happy with it, and it seems to work perfectly fine with the latest dev build for Bukkit. I only encountered one small hiccup, it does seem there is still a bit of Nether interference, I know this has been addressed in previous comments. However, I've still had a couple problems:
(Portals as follows: Regular nether portal - Nportal, Ancient gate portal to creative mode world - AGP1)
1. Entities passing through AncientGates. (I had a zombie pig in my house where my personal AncientGate is, there is not a nether portal in the location.)
2. I have a community nether portal in the sky above the server spawn area, and when exiting the nether, I come out of AGP1.*
I remedied this last issue by destroying the nearby Nether portal. (We didn't use it anymore since 1.5 was released.) So far I have not had any other nether interferences. So really it comes down to how close the nether portal is to the portal you create with ancient gates.
(I actually made a recording replicating this last issue, if it would be helpful, I'd be happy to upload it.)
Cheers! :)
PS: I have a really small server, so the nether interference doesn't bother me, I just replace any items lost from the teleport malfunction. However, I could see how this could be a big problem for large community servers with multiple portals in one area.
