BO3Tools
BO3Tools 1.6
Home | Source | Commands and permissions | Changelog
BO3s are objects used by TerrainControl. BO3Tools allows you to export your WorldEdit selection as a BO3 object. It can also convert a BO2 object to a BO3 object.
Running TerrainControl 2.8.2 or newer? Download BO3Tools 1.6.

Installation and configuration
Download the latest file from BukkitDev and place it in the plugins folder. Make sure that WorldEdit and Terrain Control are already installed. No worlds need to be assigned to Terrain Control if you don't need to export tile entities. There is no configuration file.

Commands and permissions
bo3tools.all
gives access to all the commands. Server operators automatically have this permission. You can export a BO3 using /exportbo3 <name>
, which will convert your current WorldEdit selection to a BO3 and put it in Terrain Control's GlobalObjects folder. You can convert a loaded BO2 to a BO3 using /convertbo2 <name>
.
@Noumpas13
This is not possible, unfortunately. TerrainControl cannot spawn BO3s bigger than 32 blocks on the x or z axis.
How can i change the limit size of the BO3? Is there a way in the config?
I'm really excited to start using this. Will Spigot 1.8 break it?
Is there a way to make the size limit a lot bigger? Adding a limit to the bo3 size actually seems harmful, as i can not convert some of my larger builds into bo3s. Please let me know about this as soon as possible.
Edit: Nevermind, i didn't see the comment on the bottom of the screen... So with this, i'm also assuming that BO2s have this limit?
Also, do you have any solution on how we can impliment our bigger builds into our world?
Thank You
Possible to get chest/spawner data?
@littleboy8399
Thanks. This was an error in Terrain Control, which is now fixed. You'll need the latest dev build of Terrain Control. A link to the build server of Terrain Control can be found on this page.
@rutgerkok
With BO3tools v1.2 and worldedit 5-5-8 and terraincontrol latest version for 1.7.2, I get an error when I try use "includetileentities." If you can't replicate this at all, then just tell me that you can't replicate it. If you want more info, then ask me. Everything else works fine.
@Spartamat98
i saw what i did wrong, i copyed the command but i didn't delete the little arrows, stupid mistake :D.
@rutgerkok
I have downloaded the plugin and installed it correctly together with worldedit and TC, when i try to export a selection to a BO3 it says in green that it was created, but when i search for it on my computer it is nowhere to be found...
@easye077
No need for this. BO3Tools will work fine, as long as Terrain Control and WorldEdit are updated.
Can you please update this plugin for 1.7.2 since craftbukkit came out Sunday? Thanks, Nick
@rutgerkok That's weird. I guess I'll have to use what I can use. :P
@reno911unlocred
For whatever reason, I didn't receive an email notification about littleboy's comment.
TerrainControl can't handle BO3 correctly that are larger than one chunk. They spawn much less frequently. BO3s larger than 32x256x32 don't spawn at all. That's why BO3Tools doesn't allow them.
@littleboy8399
Maybe you can dig in the .jar and change the limits your self?
I wish there was a way to export a bo3 larger than 32x256x32. There should be a config option for that or something. I really need it to export some really big trees.
Do you think you can add a way to add positions for branches using this tool? Would be very helpful for building structures with branches, and done through a command or a tool like a golden hoe or something like the tool used to define the root of the bo3
Maybe you can then add the positions (along with a name or something the user could add using a command to keep track of the positions) as comments somewhere at the bottom of the BO3 file
@spoonyloony
Try no worldguard and only use worldedit
@spoonyloony
Very strange. I just installed WorldGuard, exported a BO3 without any problems both inside and outside a WorldGuard region. Using BO3Tools 1.2, CraftBukkit Beta 1.6.2-R0.1, WorldEdit 5.5.7, WorldGuard 5.8 and Terrain Control 2.4.14.
@rutgerkok
I can confirm this error. I had been using world guard, and the same error occured. I shut down the server, removed world guard, and started it back up. And the command didn't error. Strange...
@zaberath
(Sorry for the somewhat late reply.)
That's a strange error. It seems that Terrain Control wasn't enabled somehow. Did you use
/reload
and did you ignore the warning in the console? I'm a little clueless as how WorldGuard can cause the issue, as BO3Tools and WorldGuard are completely unrelated.
