VillageInfo v8.114 output sample, please download plugin version according your bukkit version, previous versions description HERE
If you like to play with villages like me, this plugin is a very useful tool to not going blindfolded inside when you want to enlarge it, trade with villlagers or farm golems
this plugin works simple and fast, pretty much in the way of Village Info Mod in which i took the idea... after searching a lot i realised there is no plugin that supply this info
Usage
- simply type "/villageinfo" or "/vi" at chat console
- you will see info in chat area (not in f3 info screen!) about the village where you are
- location displayed in yellow, undesirable conditions in magenta, normal in cyan, lucky in bold (more details HERE)
Installation
- just download "VillageInfo.jar" file and copy inside the plugins folder of your server
- reload or restart it
- v8.114 has updated config, please backup/delete/reload/edit config.yml if updating
Configuration
- configurable global localized messages, server warnings on missing messages (new in v8)
- permissions system support (disabled by default), when enabled it has just "villageinfo.use" (n/a for ops)
Good news
i updated this plugin to be version independent (using reflection).. it was really hard because i had to rewrite almost eveything .. but version 6 should work flawlessly in every bukkit version
@snickeringImp
thanks for your comment and support ... you can subscribe (at rightmost tab) to recieve notifications on plugin updates
there still is the plugin for mc v1.9.4, check the files tab ... in addition, as i released with gplv3, the source code is available, read the description
Thanks for the updates, ! This is a very handy tool.
I ended up grabbing the source code and recompiling for quick access to 1.9.4 and just came back today to check if a version for 1.10 was available. Glad to see it was. Thanks!
Neat idea :D
@TNTUP
already uploaded ....
i wished to implement reflection to bypass nms changes restriction, but i realized will be a major rewrite
i need more time to do that, but in the meanwhile i fixed and recompiled for v194 in the *classic* way
if somebody comes up how to show radius with particles please contact me
stay tuned
@AT_HE
Subscribed, keeping an eye for the 1.9.4 one :)
@snickeringImp
yes, i am trying to use reflection to bypass future nms updates
subscribe to stay tuned
FYI, the 1.9.4 Spigot release updates the NMS revision to 1_9_R2 so VillageInfo v5.190 will not load in the latest Spigot server.
I'm looking forward to trying out this plugin if you can release a new version with the updated imports.
@AT_HE
I was using the v5.190 Thanks for the help its seems its working fine now.
@EddySeven
are you using the correct version? .. you should use version X.188
if that case post the stack trace here (use spoilers)
Wonderful idea! I can't wait to use it. I am new to hosting a server. I use PEX and a couple other pluggins. I have given the group the permission "villageinfo.use"
When I type "/vi" or "/villageinfo" I get the message "An internal error occurred while attempting to perform this command"
We are running 1.8.8 currently. What might I be doing wrong? Any help is much appreciated.
@AnonPerson1
more good news

this direct link(already approved, go to files, yipee!)@AnonPerson1
good news!
today i will try to test, update the plugin and upload 1.9 binary
subscribe to file updates in this page to get informed at once
Greetings fine sir,
Any plans to update this plugin for 1.9 compatibility? As of today, the plugin won't load.
@MaddiieManeater
thanks for the tip, i didnt even thought it
until certainly it would make the plugin more playable, is hell difficult to work with particles, i dont have the knowlwdge on how to do it with or without external libs.. i would prefer use no libs and just use vanilla methods on sake of efficiency
if somebody could help me with this feature i would really appreciate it
@AT_HE
I have seen a plugin that uses particles to show the outline of worldedit areas (WorldEdit Selection Visualizer). Perhaps you could do something like this to visualise the edges of the villages? - Maddiie :)
@Cloudplayer
updated version for 1.8.8 .. (until npe breaks compatibility again.. if happens please tell me immediately)
Is this plugin only available in online-mode:true? I can't use it in my offline localhost server...Or is it because it doesn't support MC 1.8.7? I get "An internal error occured while attempting to perform this command" everytime i use /villageinfo or /vi
I am running craftbukkit 1.8.7 and got this error. I was hoping your 1.8.1 version would be compatible. Any ideas? Thanks for your plugin.
Error occurred while enabling VillageInfo v5.183 (Is it up to date?)

@2008Choco
i appreciate your interest, however that is only possible with a mod... the only resource a plugin supplies us is placing blocks, that i consider is a hard and *dirty* way of achieve it
in the meanwhile you can place some posts or fences to mark the limits... if you still want to do it check THIS combination of plugin and mod
i like to write plugins because no player need to install nothing to use the functions
