Check out this video (old version), to get an idea of what this plugin can do:
Features

(dispensers/droppers can dispense/drop unlimitedly)
- Random Treasure: You see a random selection of the items. Can also be unlimited!
- Shared Treasure: Instead of having a personal inventory for every player, all players share the same treasure inventory.
- Forget-Time: You can access a treasure again... after the forget-time has passed.
- Custom messages: (found first time, found again, is unlimited)
- Some treasures are for some ranks.
- Create Treasure Groups to perform operations on a bunch of treasures at once!
- Add special rewards:
- Money using Vault
- Experience, Health, Hunger, Air
- Potion effects!

- TODO: Fireworks reward
- Score reward
Notes
Protection
- You can't access Treasure Chests that are protected by other plugins.
Unless you use theignore-protection
command. - You can't break, burn or blow up Treasure Chests.
Unless you use thedelete
command.
Fake Inventories
- Players always see a personal "fake inventory" to prevent others from stealing.
This "fake inventory" is temporary. So don't expect something like a private chest. - Players also see a "fake inventory" with shared treasures. But it's not personal. First come, first serve!
- Use the
peek
command to open the real inventory.
Ranks
- Use lower-case letters, in the configuration and permissions. Also see the How-To page.
TODO
- Fix issues if there are any.
- Add features when issues are fixed.
will you be adding item attributes, like +damage +health etc.?
if i were to say set up a tchest with a reward to rank up a player and the command was
/rank playername specificrank
what would i replace playername with on the chest command reward
Why my treasure only can use in main world "world"? I can't use it in other world, it didn't save my chest content and also I just open the chest just like normal.
Hello, I have found some problems in the plugin.
1. The Chest isn't being destroyed after I've made it a "Treasure Chest". I tried to issue the command: "/tchest ?" (as it says there) and it isn't responding, and says there's no such command as: /tchest ?.
2. The chest window is opening normally when someone is opening it, but the chest itself, the chest block isn't opening.
I think this plugin has a great Idea beyond it, but I hope it should have worked for me like you showed guys on the video.. :)
@nick331999
I think I figured it out. What I did was uninstall all versions of Java. Then I installed Java 7 Update 25 (64 bit). Ran a new bukkit server and it installed just fine. So I'm guessing it's related to the Java version. (Was running Java 6 previously)
@BugsyH
Same here. The plugin folder just doesn't generate when I start up my server. :(
I guess no one else is having this issue. I literally cannot install the plugin on any of my servers and nothing shows up in the console about it.
@ryanthemagi
Agreed! Hoping for a fix, but in the mean time, I went around and moved signs where appropriate. I have hundreds of chests (lots of custom dungeons) so it was definitely a chore.
@tomaste
Even if it's an issue with the signs, that's still a problem. Breaking and replacing over 50 signs is a very tedious chore. If that's what needs to happen, so be it, but I'm wondering if there's a way so I don't have to do that.
@ryanthemagi
Do you have signs above the chests? break the signs, and see if they revert to working tchests.
I simply cannot install this plugin. No errors, no console messages. It's like Bukkit isn't detecting it as a plugin or something.
Tried on version: 1.6.2-R0.1 CraftBukkit (Fresh install no other plugins)
Hey Mtihc,
Updating to the new version caused all of my existing Treasure Chests to revert to normal chests. Upon reverting back to 8.4.3, all of my chests return.
Seeing as how I have about 50 treasure chests, it would not be easy to go back and remake every single one. Is there a solution to this? Thank you!
Yeah same problem as Mtihc is having plug-in fails to load on startup...
We need all the help we can get, with this issue
https://github.com/Mtihc/TreasureChest/issues/61
@tomaste
Thanks. Good testing :) This has to do with ... blocks on top of chest. I can't seem to find a good list of IDs. If you know what i mean. I will make note of the signs. If you find more blocks that should be removed/added to the list. Let me know.
yes tomaste empty chest :o
well, i think i figured it out.
any tchest with a sign above it does not work until the sign is broken.
I'm on the new version, and it seems many of the chests stopped working. no error, no console messages, just empty chest.
Not sure what info I can provide for assistance.
Could you please add support for custom chest names ? For example if you add a name to a chest using an anvil and place it, it should show the custom name to the player which opens the treasure chest.
@iltkamil
Fireworks reward is a good idea. Until it's added. You could use the redstone reward I think.
