TitanChat
Overview
Overview
TitanChat is a chat management and formatting plugin, its high flexibility is what makes it special. Instead of having a large bulk of hardcoded supports for other plugins, an addon system was implemented so that addons, custom channels and external commands can be coded to support other plugins and add new features. The built in commands in TitanChat help make your chat management task easier. Channels can also be disabled to have your old global Minecraft chat, but giving you more control over chat.

Currently busy with school, but v5.0.0 is still being worked on.
12.08.13
12.08.13
TitanChat v4.1.0 will be the latest until the rewrite is completed to release v5.0.0. This rewrite is started due to the messiness of adding new features and functions, even though v4.0 should have improved it a lot. This should not be an impact to users since this is not a usage change, although the command system will be overhauled to become easier to understand. Sorry in advance for the lack of releases for the time being, and thank you in advance for your understanding.

Still issues tho...
11:11:36 [SEVERE] Could not load 'plugins/TitanChat.jar' in folder 'plugins': Invalid plugin: Jar does not contain plugin.yml
That's using the "TitanChat-v2.1.1.jar" linked above.
And when using 2.1 and CraftIRC3support:
11:10:55 [SEVERE] Error occurred while enabling TitanChat v2.1 (Is it up to date?): com/ensifera/animosity/craftirc/EndPoint java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/ensifera/animosity/craftirc/EndPoint
Not sure if that CraftIRC3support thing is updated by you or someone else though.
@fatmarleys
I am only able to find the whereabouts of TownTag, NationTag and Surname. I am sorry that I am not able to find everything to be added. :(
%town = Town Name
%nation = Nation Name
%towntag = Town Tag in Towny Format
%nationtag = Nation Tag in Towny Format
%title = Player title
%surname = Player surname
%townytag, %townycolor %townyperfix and %townypostfix
Mind you, that is just for me.
I would suggest, just to be safe. %surname and %nationtag as well
@Joymo
TitanChat v2.1 works fine with R5 over on the test server. :|
Silly me. I used the old config to compile. Uploading new JAR now. :P
@fatmarleys
I am now loling at myself for forgetting to change the version to v2.1. Okay, let me test this a few times.
@fatmarleys
@Joymo
A bit more info on that? Can't determine anything without stack traces, errors, etc. :(
@Joymo
It can't find EndPoint.class in CraftIRC 3. Let me see if they changed their code again...
I keep getting this on load...this is on first run...I checked the config and the default channel is preset...
On top of that, I have no idea how to configure the TownySupport.
I drop the jar in the support folder ( I had to look in how to make a support file to find that info)
Then I assume that I just change the default config.yml and add in all the tags that towny supports.
But honestly, I am just shooting in the dark.
I would really love a write up on installing and using a custom support jar.
Below, I was testing the JAR from files section, which is not 2.1 yet it seems.
Also tested 2.1 JAR, but this will not load: 2012-02-29 15:22:19 [SEVERE] Could not load 'plugins/TitanChat-v2.1.jar' in folder 'plugins' 2012-02-29 15:22:50 [SEVERE] Could not load 'plugins/TitanChat.jar' in folder 'plugins' (renamed or otherwise)
Using latest CB R5.
On testing the CraftIRC3 support, this error: http://pastie.org/3488448
Could you perhaps open a ticket section on this project?
TitanChat v2.1 Released! Report any errors please! :)
v2.1 soon! As soon as we can test it for bugs and stuff! :)
Sent a photo to your inbox. I though that link would help you cause, you asked for one and you would need to link with towny chat to integrate their tags?
@fatmarleys
I would like a photo of what the chat looks like, and that link isn't very useful for me. Channels that aren't built in would come in TitanChat v2.1. ;)
@NodinChan
What I would love, is to be able to use the towny chat variables in TitanChat. But allow Titan to be the enable chat plugin and controlling the other channels.
Here is a link to the development stuff for towny. http://palmergames.com/downloads/
There are many tags for Towny...Townytag, townytitle, town ...
By the way, does TitanChat affect Faction Chat or any other chat? I might have to write supports for the other chats if so, please report any incompatibility found and I'll see how I can make them play nicely. :)
Please describe how you'd imagine the supports and leave a link to it please. :)
This looks like a great plugin. I'm going to set it up on our test server and see how it runs. I'll second Towny support, and maybe mcMMO party chat integration too?
